Love fried okra, could eat it every meal. Big fan of pickled okra as well.
I grew okra one year. I had never seen a Praying Mantis before, but I had numerous Pray Mantises on my okra plants. Never grew okra again and never saw a Praying Mantis again. It was strange.
We always had a huge garden when I was growing up. Okra always did well in our soil and we ate it when in season. My folks migrated from Oklahoma to Kansas when I was a baby. At that time, you could not buy okra seed in Kansas so it was a trip back home to visit and get okra seed each year. My favorite okra is breaded and fried. We ate it boiled in soups and stews too and I still have to have okra in those dishes. My mother canned and made jellies but she never pickled. I love me some hot pickled okra!
Always plenty on hand 
I use to buy sliced jalapenos in a gallon jar. Once I had eaten most of the peppers, I'd put a couple of jars of hot pickled okra in the jalapeno juice. It added a bit more kick and I loved the taste.

A few slices of salami, yogurt lemon cup, a handful of chex mix, some salt and vingaer nuts. I really did not felt like cooking tonight.
My Mom's boyfriend is in the feild, so it is the two of us, she did eat her left over jimmy johns.. So good to see her eat food.

Pan heated shrimp in garlic and butter, boiled up some egg noodles and mixed it all in Alfredo sauce with a side of green peas !

My daughter and I are taking in a game at the ol ballpark tonight. Dinner will be ballpark whatever and beers. 
Spiced turkey, smoked chicken, and cured ham sub with chips and salsa.

Oh just snacks. BBQ Nuts, salt and vineager nuts, with a power up, omega three mixture blend with a bunch of healthy ingredients.

Last night was Ham and Bean soup with Ketchup and Mustard already inside of it.. Such a delicious meal my mother makes.
