Root whats the point of having a game while rooted?

if you have a game when your rooted.. everytime you go to update or get a new rom the entire game gets deleted.. So really... whats the point of having a long/ story mode game?
 
nope.. when i updated from 2.0-2.1 nothing changed.. i had all the same files. my layout was the same. everything.. when you update to a new rom. everything gets wiped.

Not even close to true, you can back the games up with all of their data.
 
You use Titanium Backup to back up the game. Then if you wipe data to install a new ROM, you restore the game and data with Titanium Backup and everything's just like it was before.
 
and if ur going from a ROM that is being updated, chances are that you dont need to wipe, specially if the ROM is getting Themed.
 
The only time you need to wipe is when you go to completely different ROMs like BB to Cyanogen. You don't need to wipe when you upgrade the same ROM and some different ROMS you don't need to wipe such as BB to SimplyStunning.
 
Other people have said it but I'll say it again for emphasis. Get Titanium Backup.

I was also annoyed by this problem as I'd earned a lot of gold balls in Homerun Battle and lost them all.

Also I've noticed if you back up the home apps (Launcher, Helix, LauncherPro, etc) then if you restore it it saves all your icon and widget positions - although most widgets need to be deleted and replaced.

Ouch! That's gotta hurt. And it still shows you completed those missions so you can't do em again to get all the gold balls back huh?

That was the reason why I first installed Titanium Backup. I didn't want to risk losing my stuff. Only game I've paid for so far, and totally worth it.
