What's the weather like where you are?

A couple of beautiful sunny June days. Temps in the 70s with low humidity. Light breeze, few clouds. Birds are singing, fish are swimming and the cicadas are bouncing off my windshield like driving through a hailstorm.

Hot, miserable and tired :mad::maddroid::thumbsdowndroid:

Almost two inches of rain fell overnight at the olbriar ranch. My friend, that also has a weather station, received 3.95" out of the same storm. His place is about ten miles North of me and was directly in the path of the storm. At least it dropped the temperatures. It's 73.8° now with a high of 81° predicted. A much appreciated change from the recent 100's.

It's sizzling here, with EVEN MORE record-breaking high temperatures in the forecast. To top it off, remember that drought we FINALLY got out of? It's baaaaaack!! Most of the state is under 'extreme drought' conditions. Mix that with crazy-high temps and then brace for a terrible wildfire season.

One tiny good possibility: there's rain in the forecast! But I'll believe it when I see it!

Speaking of wildfires, I keep getting unsolicited snail mail from law firms wanting me to get my fair share of money for any damage done to my home by recent wildfires. That's news to me! I didn't know I had any damage! Shysters, ambulance chasers, that's what they look like to me.

It's been lightly raining since early Monday. No sun, no wind, just a constant drizzle to light rain.
It's a lot cooler but it is starting to be a bog outside.

Just got back from the market and the thermometer on the dash said 101°F but it's a moist heat (89% humidity) so it feels like ...

Lots of sunshine today. The humidity is 59% instead of being in the upper 80's and it's 78.8°. It's finally drying out around here. I'm not excited about it getting super hot but I am ready for some dryer air. Bog like is an accurate description of the last couple of weeks. Raining some to a lot daily with a constant cloud cover kept the humidity high and the grass wet. However, rain is in the forecast for tomorrow and mid week. :(

That's downright comfortable! Wish I was there.
Still feels like Fall in New England.

This morning the weather report actually made me chuckle! The weather dude said "we're on sprinkle watch." He and I both laughed at this play on the infamous "storm watch" that breaks in whenever a drop of rain is detected in the LA area! Good way to start the day. :D

Hot and sticky !

I live onna island and it is always humid here !
There is always a trade off. Island / humidity seems much more acceptable than flat Kansas / humidity. :)

It rained a quarter of an inch here last night. It was a welcomed rain and managed to lower the temps.
Naturally it also ramped up the humidity.

Bleak and dreary today with highs struggling to reach 70°F. This is August 1st, right? Storms are about an hour away and then we return to the warm and muggy weather of Summer in PA.

In a word, incredible!. Yesterday the temp was over one hundred. I awoke to my station saying it was 69° outside... and it was. Just a bit of cloud cover and a gentle breeze, it is such a welcomed change from the recent and normal August weather. It has warmed up as the day rolled on but it's only 81° now at 3:45. Predicted highs for next week are all in the mid eighties. I love it!

I was half asleep the other morning with the news on, and I don't remember WHERE this was, but somewhere not in the US, somewhere that never sees such high temperatures, had a high of 120 degrees. Absolutely record-shattering. I wish I could recall where it was. By comparison, my 105 today is practically a cold spell! :D

Does anyone happen to know where that was? It was two or three days ago that I [kind of] saw it on the news.
