Will I get banned for posting my ridiculously WONDERFUL weather while others are suffering with cold, snow, ice, etc.?! We set a bunch of new high temperature records yesterday, including some in the 90s--even at the beaches--and we're in for more record-breaking heat today and for the rest of the week. It's 80 right now but the morning haze hasn't burned off yet; we'll be up in the upper 80s down here in the lovely San Gabriel Valley by mid-afternoon. Meanwhile, they're skiing and snowboarding up in the local mountains with daytime temps in the 40s, I believe; it does get quite cold up there at night, even into the teens...but I never visit the mountains during snow season!
NECN just brought up a 7 day snow forecast? Hmm...
10 below freezing. But clear!

We had a little of everything over the weekend. Rain changing to snow on Friday night, then warm (40°s) and clear for most of Saturday followed by rain and fog with tempertures dropping from the 40°s to the 30° today.
We got the reverse. Snow changing to rain leaving an inch of slush on the ground that froze solid overnight. Walking the dogs this morning was like walking on broken glass.
That's coming my way tomorrow.
Winter storm warning posted for Wednesday, 6-12" of snow. Haven't watched the local news yet to see what they think for my area but yeah...
Quick.. while there is still time... go buy all the milk, eggs, and bread you can find.
They forecast snow around here and the market sells out. Crazy people.
Same here! It's like we are never going to get out of out houses again! I do have to go just in general (Turtle needs more greens) and it will be a zoo. Ugh. It's not like it never snows in the Northeast or anything, sheesh
The lowest amount forecasted seems to be 5-9" so the French toast will be flippin' by the platter full. And, for whatever reason, the toilet paper will be in heavy use as well. Me, I'll just eat cereal (with milk!) and drink lots of coffee between shoveling bouts.

I'm thinking that AWD will be sweet. I'm accustomed to driving with rear two wheel drive in a pickup. It's no fun at all.

Snow was in the forecast originally but scratched from the predictions before the day began.
We don't seem to get the snows that I enjoyed in my youth anymore. 3-4 inches max seems to be the norm these days. It was not uncommon to see 12 to 16 inch snows 60 years ago in these parts. I'm not complaining.. just an observation.
