What's the weather like where you are?

I've gotten 3 of them in the last 2 weeks, we've had a lot of rain. Mine are from the EAS (emergency alert system), not my weather apps (but they send me little ! to be sure I'm on top of it )

I got about at least 12 of them on Saturday when the Tornado struck.

Thankfully mine have only been for flash flooding lately. The tornado ones are a little unnerving for sure, I've gotten only 2 of them since EAS was a thing. But still, those are scary!

Well, just got the precursor to the warning which will lead to the EEEEH EEEEH EEEEH. We are under a flash flood watch 'til midnight. No rain yet

I just got home from mowing two huge estates. I did sweat. Not hot, just thick air.

So, growing up as an amphibian in Florida, sweating was just a thing my body generally didn't do much of. I mean, let's face it--when the humidity is usually 65% or above, sweat just does not cool you down much if at all, right?

Now that I have been living in one desert or another for more than two decades, my body has once again learned how to do that whole sweat to cool the body thing.

I can't stand the smell of my own sweat.

Seriously, my laundry bill is skyrocketing as I try desperately to find a way to remove that godawful stench from my shirts... it's almost to the point where I just want to start buying cheap t-shirts and throw them out after one or two uses.

Humidity is down. Temperatures in the 80° range but there's a price to pay in Boston. It will probably rain all next week. Kinda makes me miss Florida.

So far that mess has been missing by the smallest of margins...I'm OK with that. Stay in, pour a drink and watch it fall

I'm sleeping when major weather events happen.

Yesterday the only section of Parker Hill Avenue (one of the steepest hills in the City of Boston) where a tractor trailer could deliver a load of supplies to the two hospitals at the very top collapsed into an apparent sink hole due to the heavy rain while I was sleeping.

I want more rain.
We need more emojis.

NE of Boston, MA looked a lot like that yesterday. Water over hoods but it was that bad on streets that looked flat.

Personally I think Mother Nature is in the beta testing phase for Armageddon. Fires on the west coast, floods in the east ... whichever gets rid of the most people the fastest wins!

I think we get 4" of rain that then immediately evaporates and hangs around as heavy, uncomfortable air until it again gets wrung out onto the ground.
