What's your favorite MLB team?

Figured I would share with you guys. The Pawtucket Red Sox had a free skills clinic this morning so I took my four year old son Evan. He had a blast. He got some pitching training from Alex Wilson (a righty reliever out of Texas A&M that could get a call up this year). It is nice that these AAA teams do stuff like this, all free and two tickets to tonights game on them so Evan and I get to have a guys night out.

That is why minor league ball is so awesome. It's what baseball used to be

He went to a Worcester Tornadoes game last week with my parents. Jose Canseco plays for them. He loves the game.

I'm originally from Worcester. That's awesome!
Big BoSox fan here, obviously. Kind of sad to see Youk traded (Happening soon, rumored)

Youk needs to go back to playing 1B or DH of he wants to regain his health and consistency. Third base is too demanding for him.

Unfortunately for him, neither are available. Trade is the only thing that would be good for Youk's career and the Red Sox.

I read a rumor that the White Sox trade is almost a done deal

It is done. Youk to the White Sox for P Zach Stewart and IF/OF Brent Lillibridge. Red Sox are paying out $5.5M of Youk's contract, while the White Sox pay the remaining $1M. White Sox are on the hook for his option next season at $13M.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and root for the Pirates. :D

<------ See my location.

Remember, no matter how bad your team gets, there's always the Pirates. ;)

Granite, you kill me.:D

I think your Pirates have done a real nice job over the last few years in the draft and international signings. That is too proud of an organization to continue struggling like they have. In many ways they remind me of the Rays circa 07-08 where teams and real fans of the AL East knew they were on the cusp of contending whereas mainstream media, casual AL East fans, and fans nationally wrote them off as the laughing stock of MLB. They have many of the pieces in place and could find themselves a serious contender in short order.

Yall are still only 2 games back of my Reds :) (not that i think they have a chance, though they certainly have had the reds number this year so far)

Hitman, thoughts on Latos?

He is so FRUSTRATING sometimes. Then he has a night like last night.....

I could definitely understand that, but he's VERY young, and has plenty to learn about pitching in the majors. I honestly feel like the Padres called him up before he was ready. It was only a matter of time before he had a stellar season, and they shipped him out during the fire sale.

My vote - keep faith. He's young and talented, and will be the ace of that staff in the near future. You can obviously see (judging by last night's start) that the kid has the stuff to dominate.

You read my mind!

OMG !! What the heck is going on with my Dodgers. They went from the best record in baseball to 2-8 in their last ten games. I know they need a better fifth starter than Eovaldi, but Jesus even Kershaw is losing.
Ugggg

My man Leake out pitched Mr Perfect Matt Cain last night I see :):)

Too bad I couldn't watch it, that game started after my bedtime! lol
