What's your favorite MLB team?

You're preaching to the choir player. Pete said it pretty good in that vid. You can get a second chance for ANYTHING! But not gambling :(

I'm of the mindset that it wasn't the gambling that has upheld the lifetime ban, it's the constant lying about it for so long. We're a society of 2nd, 3rd, 4th chances.. as long as you own up and apologize.

Look at Andy Pettite vs. Clemens, PEttite owned up to it, apologized and his usage is almost an afterthought... Clemens is taking it to his grave and potentially a stop in jail for it.

While I see your point I don't think it really factors in this. Yes Pete did lie about it for a LONG time. BUT... he did finally own up to it. I really don't think that mattered though. It is just the way MLB looks at gambling

Also the bigger problem was that he was a manager. Gambling could be influenced by Pete's on field decisions.

I don't venture into this section often, decided I would post...

New York Mets fan here. Still coming down off the high of the weekend performances of Santana, Dickey and Niese. Almost shut out the World Champions and #1 offense in the league in 3 straight games, as it is they held them to only 1 run.

I was extremely happy to see that Santana got his first no-no. He should have had one ages ago, honestly. That's neither here nor there though. Grats to Mets fans, you have a reason to cheer again!

He gets close to no run support. I think he's 2nd or 3rd this season in worst run support per start.

What is wrong with the Phillies this year? This has been strange for a lot of teams. I still can't figure out how my Dodgers are doing so well. I thought they had a better team last year. Not that I'm complaining

McCourt is gone and they aren't worrying about their next paycheck. I know the players said all the right things, but that had to be weighing on their minds.

You are probably correct. Plus Magic Johnson gives them a loose, have fun attitude from the owners. Low pressure, high excitement. That said, I feel like a Cubs fan when I say that I can already feel the September choke. God I hope not. Can't wait to get Ted Lilly back. He's been reborn with LA.

I did read it in the paper, but it slipped my mind to share it to others via Internet. Great article.

They are missing their two big bats in Utley and Howard. Rollins is old and sucks, Pence has no protection in the lineup either. That's pretty much all she wrote folks lol.

I figured you did. I wasn't overly familiar with this guy but really good read.

Too long of a read for me at work, I'll finish it tonight when I get home. Thanks;)

Yea it took me awhile to get through it at work the other day. I just remembered it and had to hunt it down to share it with yall

From personal experience, I agree that your arm does always hurt when you're a pitcher. Lol, but ice just never did the trick for me.

I always enjoyed the burning feeling in the shoulder. Good times. Regardless, nothing better than the feel of that ball in your hand.
Oh the good old days

True story. I always pondered what may have been different had I not gotten injured when I did. I would probably be stuck in some random minor league farm team, which would suck lol.

Oh well. We'll see what happens in the next go round! ;)
