You're preaching to the choir player. Pete said it pretty good in that vid. You can get a second chance for ANYTHING! But not gambling

I'm of the mindset that it wasn't the gambling that has upheld the lifetime ban, it's the constant lying about it for so long. We're a society of 2nd, 3rd, 4th chances.. as long as you own up and apologize.
Look at Andy Pettite vs. Clemens, PEttite owned up to it, apologized and his usage is almost an afterthought... Clemens is taking it to his grave and potentially a stop in jail for it.
While I see your point I don't think it really factors in this. Yes Pete did lie about it for a LONG time. BUT... he did finally own up to it. I really don't think that mattered though. It is just the way MLB looks at gambling

New York Mets fan here. Still coming down off the high of the weekend performances of Santana, Dickey and Niese. Almost shut out the World Champions and #1 offense in the league in 3 straight games, as it is they held them to only 1 run.
I'm not a Phillies fan, but how in hell is Cliff Lee 0-3 ?
He gets close to no run support. I think he's 2nd or 3rd this season in worst run support per start.
McCourt is gone and they aren't worrying about their next paycheck. I know the players said all the right things, but that had to be weighing on their minds.
anyone see this in nytimes? must read for baseball fans: http://www.nytimes.com/2012/05/27/s...b-ojeda-relives-both-glory-and-pain.html?_r=2
What is wrong with the Phillies this year? This has been strange for a lot of teams. I still can't figure out how my Dodgers are doing so well. I thought they had a better team last year. Not that I'm complaining
Too long of a read for me at work, I'll finish it tonight when I get home. Thanksanyone see this in nytimes? must read for baseball fans: http://www.nytimes.com/2012/05/27/s...b-ojeda-relives-both-glory-and-pain.html?_r=2
I did read it in the paper, but it slipped my mind to share it to others via Internet. Great article.

From personal experience, I agree that your arm does always hurt when you're a pitcher. Lol, but ice just never did the trick for me.
I always enjoyed the burning feeling in the shoulder. Good times. Regardless, nothing better than the feel of that ball in your hand.
Oh the good old days
Oh well. We'll see what happens in the next go round!I don't venture into this section often, decided I would post...

True story. I always pondered what may have been different had I not gotten injured when I did. I would probably be stuck in some random minor league farm team, which would suck lol.
