What's your favorite MLB team?

Yeah, I don't think the O's can keep up for the season, although in any other division they would have a chance. The Rays and Jays were legit from the get go.

They are fun to watch. They are doing much better on the field than they look on paper. Reminds me of the 1988 Dodgers.

The O's are a fluke. I don't care what anyone says. Tampa has already shown they are the real deal, plus Toronto is on the rise if they can get another solid bat and some arms.

I never had a problem with Toronto until they picked up Colby Rasmus. I played ball with him as a kid and went to school with him for 10 years and he is quite the asshat.

I love that you spoke up about that. I spent my younger years surrounded by numerous athletes and celebs. People always get cranky when I tell the stories about what some of these "stars" were like. I spent a year essentially following an "unnamed" MLB team in the 90's. The things they did were amazingly great and terrible. If I ever meet someone who is going to marry or be in a committed relationship with an athlete or celeb, I would do everything possible to stop them. I still remember occupying a wife who made a surprise visit on the road so a certain athlete could get some "women" out of their room.

The Dodgers certainly got off to a fast start.

San Diego Padres fan here. They'll be relevant in a few years... when we get a new owner and the farm prospects develop.

I always enjoy the Padres vs Dodgers series. Padres love to knock out LA when they are close at seasons end. They always seem to have our number.

Not this year. That's ok. I'm still a fan.

Glad your team has the ownership thing figured out. If only we can get there.

BTW, Tony Gwynn is helping the Padres team purchase along.

I love PETCO Park. :)

I have to tell you, Tony Gwynn is one of the nicest, down to earth people you could ever how to meet. I did some work with him years ago. He is amazing. Gave me some cool stuff too.

Doesn't surprise me in the least bit. I remember meeting Roger Clemens when I was a kid. He was such a scumbag, but it's not like everyone didn't know that already. However, my favorite player of all-time was possibly one of the most pleasant people I have ever encountered. I have a ball and glove signed by him from the 98 World Series. You'll figure out who he is if you've been reading the thread fairly recently.

I honestly don't feel like what he did should have earned him a lifetime ban from the game. If they can do something stupid like this for something so miniscule, then players in violation of the MLB Drug Testing policy should be banned from baseball on first offense.

You're preaching to the choir player. Pete said it pretty good in that vid. You can get a second chance for ANYTHING! But not gambling :(
