What's your favorite MLB team?

There are 29 teams in the MLB with an advantage over mine. They don't have Bobby "How do I extricate both feet from my mouth" Valentine as their manager.:banghead::banghead::banghead:

There are only 30 teams in MLB (14 AL, 16 NL). I had to go count though:o and saw the the Red Sox are tied for the second worst record in the AL.
:vroam:

:hmmmm2: :flybye:

Hmmm..... NO idea what I was thinking! LOL!

edit: err, i mean... what are you talking about :)

Don't feel too bad. Soon it will be 15 and 15 (AL/NL) with the Astros coming to the AL. As for the Red Sox, it's still early. I wouldn't worry too much until after the ASB.

I know, I really don't pay much attention to records until the end of May.

Yankees starters have pitched terribly with exception to maybe like 3 games. The bullpen has been lights out though. Hopefully the bats can start waking up as well. We're definitely NOT a .500 ball club.

Young pup, lol :)

I remember watching the reds win the series.... I was 11

That was '90 right? The year Eric Davis got hurt making that diving catch in center Game 1 vs the A's?

Oh, and the Cardinals. Great start this year, hope that Wainwright gets his act together, he's the weak link of the rotation so far.

Our bullpen is meserable and misused.:hmpf::stupid:

Na na na na.. hey hey heyyyyyy.. goodbyeeeeee! Man, that was some comeback by my boys in pinstripes.

Well 4-10 is better than 2-10 I guess, and still no Beer and Chicken.:shot::vollkommenauf:

Yea, that's right. I remember seeing Davis get hurt. He was my all time favorite player.

Worse case scenario for Wainwright - he gets bumped out of the rotation once Carp gets back and is 100% healthy.

Ths way he pitched the other night he may be getting back into the zone.

He was mine too. Hated the way the team management treated him and left him in Oakland after the series.

Jeter, Pettitte, Posada, those are guys all always keep track of. Good players, just not on my favorite team. I am really a fan of the game and have a favorite team.

Likewise. Another one of the players that I like is Roy Halladay. My favorite players just so happen to be all pitchers. There's just something about pitchers that can tip the balance of a game that really intrigues me.

And they are destroying my White Sox this series. White Sox pitching has disappeared and Red Sox scoring is returning.

As much as I like a bludgeoning offence, I really like event pitchers. Pedro in the 90s, Halladay, Verlander. I'm sure I'm missing some others. But there are only a few pitchers where you tune in to the game to watch them work their magic.

Sorry:cool:

These days, there seems to be so many. Active players, you've got Halladay, Sabathia, Kershaw, Weaver/Haren, Lincecum, Lester, Verlander, Shields, and the list goes on and on. I really like this new age of pitching that's approaching. Tons of studs rising up through the levels.

All great pitchers, don't get me wrong. But I'm talking about must see tv pitchers. Pedro in 98-99 and Verlander for stretches last year. I'm more likely to tune into a Sox game of Lester is pitching because it is usually a good game. I never missed one of Pedro's starts and would tune in to see Verlander pitch even though I otherwise could care less about the tigers. I'm just naming two, there are others, but the list isn't quite as long as yours.
