Hi, I am changing roms every few weeks till i find one i like.

my question is should i format the app partition on my SD card when i change roms? i take a Nandriod and a full titanium back up before i flash a rom...

hi ben,

have you tried miui xj? or do you prefer a lighter rom? like dGB maybe :)

there was me hoping to advise you, but actually im not too sure - sorry :/
i think it can depend on what rom you are moving from ....and what you have done to your sd card - a2sd/partitions etc

there is def info on here that will help.....or im sure one of the guys in the know will be along shortly ;)

cheers

Hi well i have been running Gv for a while but after getting my desire back my GPS isnt working. im not sure if its the rom or the phone ( its a replacement handset) im going to try Redux next. im just waiting for the nandriod to finish.

as much as i love the simpleness of Gb roms i do miss the htc People app and email app.

as for miui im not to sure. How much hacking is involved... i dont want to be flashing tables and stuff....

and as for partition i have a 1gb ex3 partition with my apps, and im going from GV2.8 to Redux1. 2

I couldn't tell you how it compares to Miui as I've only used Gingervillain and Redux so far and definitely prefer Redux it seems very fast and I've had no hitches whatsoever.

thanks RFB

ok. am going to try it just to see what it is like.
but think I will be back with xj before long :-)
cheers

I can't remember the size of dev null (previous lightest rom) but I think dGB is around 20MB lighter.

Dgb may even be one of the smallest roms on android in general.

I'm sure it is :-D

tried to get redux2 but only get party poker from dload site :-\
......maybe its a sign :-D

now.....dGB with auto apn and screen capture...... ;-)

hi.
yes I spotted it in the spec.is there a special way to do this? or just manually re-enter
the network details after......

does have screen capture though by the looks of it :-)

......no need to reply to my xda post ;-)

just check auto APN setup from xj and it isn't correct anyway. seems to connect
ok though

Dan55. I have a redux 2 (31/08) download which I will be happy to dropbox for you. I have only made a couple of tweeks relating to the maps.apk as it resulted in maps and navigation appearing in apps tray twice. PM me if you want the rom
