Root When to do a nand

Ok, so I have just re-flashed the CM7 ROM and hope I did everything correctly. This time I used the SUPERWIPE to to its thing after doinig the regular wipes to the cache, dalvik cache, and system making this a 'cleaner' install.

My current question: when do I make a nand backup for this flash so if I need/want to reflash it then I'll be ready? Do need to wait until I get all my prefs set and apps loaded?

well that is what i do. so for me i first make a nandroid backup of the current rom that i'm on just in case something happens when i flash the new rom. after that nandroid backup i then do my wipes and flash the vr superwipe and finally the rom. after the rom boots up and i sign in and get my settings done and my phone is how i want it i then make a nandroid backup again so that i do not have to go through that again. just remember that nandroid backups are your friend.
