When you unroot your phone, where does the data from your root go? As the combined size of kernels and roms can be several hundreds
mb, i wonder what happens to this when you unroot. I Have yet to root my SGSII, but have rooted several other devices, but i never thought about this before. :p Anyone know?

On the GS2 root is obtained by replacing the stock secure kernel with an insecure version and installing CWM + Superuser, and unrooting is just a reverse of the process. No data loss is involved.
