Root Where are all the devs at?

I looked at a stock GB install. WiFi direct is supported. But there is no p2p0 interface, neither on normal wifi nor when using wifi-direct.

i don't suppose someone has a stock ICS install with the stock ICS kernel that can tell me if the p2p0 device exists? To do this, open a terminal emulator (or use adb) and cat /proc/net/dev. This will show all network devices, one per line.

Well my sim card just took a shit. Its been acting funky for a couple of weeks now, and today it took a complete shit. So here's a build I was wanting to test but cant because of my sim card. Has some stock jar files, the vzw apn apks. And the jar files added to the bootclasspath. Plus a couple tweaks to the build.prop. So if someone like neph could mess with it that'd be great.

I can probably do a bit of testing on it for you. I'll check it out a bit later and see if I can get a logcat for you too.

Okay I cheated for now and disabled wifi-direct.

Looking at the vendor init files from the barebones rom (hopefully those are from the released ota) there is no p2p_supplicant service and the wpa_supplicant service uses the arg "-puse_p2p_group_interface=1". Which may have a similar effect, I don't know. But if so, how would wifi-direct be enabled and disabled? So more investigation is needed.

Anyway, so I'm going to throw a test rom out to see what happens. This is a test rom. Make a backup before installing, and expect to restore after playing with it.

quattrimus-iproj-cm10-test2.zip
md5=2f5e4eced337d36c70529f64386fe3b5

This is CM10, synced earlier this week. It should install and boot.

Notes:
* This is a multi-rom. It detects your model by using the SoC build string. If you get an install error, send me the contents of your /sys/devices/system/soc/soc0/build_id.
* The radio probably doesn't work (phone, data, nothing).
* wifi-direct is disabled.
* The init files are a mess but they seem to work.
* Everything else should be pretty solid.

Please give it a whirl and let me know how it goes.

Well, downloaded and installed just fine. Smooth as you could possibly want. No Phone or data like you said. Wifi works great. All I can say is that the day when this is full functional is going to be an amazing day. This phone has never been so smooth. I'm gonna track down the gapps for CM10 and install those. I'll play with it a little more and let you know how it runs when It has a phones worth of apps installed. Thanks for all the hard work tdm!

Anyone get a chance to mess with this a bit yet?

I've poked around all of the menus and tried all of the settings that deal with anything that works. Not a single force close or reboot. I'm gonna go ahead and flash back to eclipse. Thanks for posting this tdm, i really enjoyed seeing how well Jelly Bean can run on the Spectrum. If you have any specific questions for me let me know. Can't wait for the radios to work. I think this could be my daily driver even without 3G/4G. for awhile anyways.

I went ahead and flashed it. I don't know to much so all I can tell you is that it did not seem any different than any other version I've tried. Still no data or Bluetooth. Hope that helps.
Well, it was mainly so it could be messed with to see if 1x data is working like it was and if the jar files i added in made a difference, and to get logs. I knew bluetooth didnt work. Its the same kernel that we've been using. Ill be honest, bluetooth is not a priority. I can live without it. Data is what I'm focusing on. But i was gonna mess with bluetooth once data was out of the way or once I finally said the hell with it.

As far as I can tell, there was no 1x. Tell me how to get a log and i can go ahead and re-flash it and grab it for you.

I'm about to flash and pull some logcats. Should have them ready for you in about an hour or so.

Since when does bluetooth not work on CM9 or are we talking different items? My phone has been able to see my bluetooth on my computer on almost every CM9 build so far. The kernel modules just don't seem to be compatible with the BS that they put into ICS.

I don't know. I've never tried Bluetooth on CM9 before. I don't use it much, I just know that when I tried to sync my jawbone, it refused to connect.

It seems to work for everything except calls.
