Well my sim card just took a shit. Its been acting funky for a couple of weeks now, and today it took a complete shit. So here's a build I was wanting to test but cant because of my sim card. Has some stock jar files, the vzw apn apks. And the jar files added to the bootclasspath. Plus a couple tweaks to the build.prop. So if someone like neph could mess with it that'd be great.

Thoughts so far.

init.qcom.modem_links.sh needs to be updated.

fwfiles=`ls modem* q6* playrdy*`

should be

fwfiles=`ls modem* q6* tzapps*`

per the files in the firmware partition.

Also, all the playready stuff will most likely need to get changed over to tzapps stuff in that script.

I can't find what triggering this:
E/kickstart( 260): RUNNING: /system/bin/ks -v -w /tombstones/mdm/ -p /dev/tty_sdio_00 -s

but /dev/tty_sdio_00 does not exist as far as I can see.

I/ServiceManager( 2036): Waiting for service AtCmdFwd... is being spammed because it's waiting to initialize the sim card. The fix works, but it's not calling for the stack later in the process. Probably another fix that the EVO LTE has.

It appears that I have 1x still. No 3g or 4g though. Here's a screenshot and a logcat. The logcat is probably super long but it has everything from the attempted activation to using mass storage mode. Calls and texting still work also.

EDIT: The Verizon SSO engine may not be needed, but I need to get some sleep ASAP.

EDIT2: Data does not hold thru a reset. Not sure what's going on, but data was there

EDIT3: Wiped /data and now have a 4G connection again. Not sure wtf is going on now. Trying to get logs.

We'll need to get a group together to figure that out. We'll need the data fix applied in that commit I posted and I had to re-write most of build.prop based off of the EVOLTE CM9 build.prop. Everything else are just files moved from the stock LG ICS, but I don't know what else D2A did between his build and yours.

EDIT: Anything I re-wrote is under #RIL properties. I cleared out a lot of junk too and re-arranged items, so that will be the harder stuff to find. Probably will need to compare both side by side (D2A's and mine) to find all the removals.

No clue. I've only seen it on 4G and it goes away every reboot without coming back until I wipe /data. I'll play around with it more this weekend unless someone else figures out the solution first.

I concur! I have no idea of what most of you are doing to make this happen, I only know that when you're done, we'll have something wonderful for or beloved Spectrums! I am now holding my breath (bluetooth next?)...

Data is stay across reboots for me. 3 so far. I'm turning it off before each reboot if that makes any difference.

Have you guys been able to make or receive calls? I'm not sure if I screwed it up myself or it is an actual issue but I was unable to do any voice calling. The data worked though (1X, 3G, 4G).

EDIT: Also, the battery seemed to charge very slowly (or not at all). I was plugged into a USB the whole time and the charge indicator only raised 2%. It did not fall however.

Working for me. The only issue I'm having is that my contacts either don't want to restore or they restore in triplicate.

When you guys did the initial activation, did it just spin for a good long while and then eventually time out? I'm starting over to see if I can not screw it up myself and get voice to work. I'm currently watching the radio logcat while it is trying to activate. Here's a little of what I get:
