where are apps stored on sd card?

Zte told me the upgrade on their website, even though it shows version 8, is actually new (last three weeks). So I installed it -of course, it reset my phone and wiped out all the installed apps. I expected that.
My question - where is all the 'trace data' from the apps that were installed on my sd card? Since I didn't uninstall them first, i figure the leftovers are just filling up sd space, so i want to clear that out.
I thought apps that got moved to sd were usually stored on '.android_secure' but astronomy says that directory is empty.
Thanks

Check for the following folders:

/<appname>
/data/<appname>
/Android/data/<appname>

Thanks - I did find some in /data/.
Also, when I hooked the phone up to my PC as USB storage, I found several files in .android_securethat relate to my old apps.
Again, since I didn't uninstall before I did the ZTE update, I am assuming this is stuff I can just delete.(?)

BTW - 5 crash free days with the latest ZTE upgrade. I'm happy about that - but I am basically bare bones stock, and I'm starting to get hives that only a launcher can cure!

Happy to help. I've got stuff scattered around all three locations so it obviously depends on the particular app's developer where the data is stored.

Yup, that leading "." tells Android to hide the folder contents, so they're only visible to other OS. Sorry - I should have thought to warn you. :o

Unless you plan on reinstalling any of the apps in future, in which case they'll use any settings/config data stored in their respective folders. If not then you can safely delete them.
