Help Where are my Downloaded Apps?

Hi. Iam new to smart phones and got a Samsung Galaxy S2 yesterday.
I have been to the Android Market and downloaded: 2 x Angry Birds, Talking Tom Cat and Woolworths App. I can see them when I go to MENU -> SETTINGS -> APPLICATIONS -> MANAGE APPLICATIONS... But that only lists the Apps and when I click on them it just gives details about the App and gives me the option to uninstall, it doesn't allow me to 'launch' (play or use) them from there. The only way I have been able to use them is if I go back to the Market, search for the app - it says 'installed' in green and I can click on it there and use it.

There must be an easier way, surely I dont have to search the market everytime I want to use an App I have already downloaded... Why aren't the apps showing up as icons or something on the actual phone in the Menu or have an App launcher or something, where are they?

I have tried searching on the net for an answer to my problem but can't find one. Gah, I hate being phone / technologically ******ed.

Thanks for any help.

Hi, and welcome to Android Forums. :)

The app drawer is accessed either from Applications in the menu or by using the Launcher icon that looks like a 4-paned window (rubbish description but that's all that came to mind!)

If it wasn't included with your phone, which was the case for me, you can download the User Guide in PDF format here.

I hope this was helpful.
