I wonder if there are actually enough nerds around here that are aware that Costco might have a huge deal, to require me actually leaving work to go there Thursday morning? I guess you never know right?
 
VZW store. I actually just called a few stores in the area and they both told me they had no idea if it would be in stock and available at the store Thursday, anyone else been told this?

Im buying mine from best buy mobile because I have about $100 in gift cards. I called last thursday and they said they always have new phones on release date. They said they'd call me when they get a shipment and they'd put my name on a list and i could pick it up thursday. If they don't get it im gonna be piiiiiiiisssseeed. They haven't called yet... if they don't have it i guess ill be going to verizon.

Since I just moved here I'm not sure of the local geek quotient. My wife will be at Costco when they open and she'll check to see if they have the deal and the phones. If so, when I get out of class I'll be there around noon to get my phone.

If not, I'll be at the VZW store like two minutes away to buy mine at 11:30. I'm half tempted to go to that store anyway just for the sake of convenience.
 
Costco will be my first stop.

If they dont have it ill be heading to my vzw store because they said they would put one aside for me.

:mad: Now, I'm worried. Too many people buying it from Costco. Come Thrusday morning, I'm going to have to push everyone down so I can get to the front of the line. I won't discriminate against women and children. :D
 
Stopped by Costco on my way home from work today (30 minutes outta the way :( ).

Two guys standing behind the VzW counter.

Clueless Rep: "Can I help you?"
Me: "Yes. Will you be selling the Bionic this Thursday?"
Clueless Rep: "We won't have the Bionic by Thursday."

Clueless Rep looks at Less Clueless Rep.

Less Clueless Rep: "Oh, we'll have it. I'm just not sure we'll be selling it on Thursday."
Me: "Are you sure?"
Less Clueless Rep: "Yep. You'll have to call us on Thursday."
Me: "I guess so."

Me: Turns and walks away in total disappointment... :(

My Costco guy said he'd be there on Thursday, Bionics in hand.

Just make sure you get there early enough so you actually get one!
 
im mad verizon or costco wont hold me a copy and i got work at 7 till 3 and i hope they dont run out by the time i get out. but idk if ill make it in time to costco and back to my job on my lunch break :/
 
With Costco over 2 hours away my time and the price of gas does not add up to any savings. Especially when I get 30% off accessories at VZW. BB for the phone with their 45 day return policy for Reward Zone Silver Premiere. For those unaware of the great program, here is their return policy which I have taken full advantage of with many different types of electronics.

What are the details of the extended return policy?
Premier Silver status members have 45 days to return all in-store and BestBuy.com purchases, from the date of the transaction. The Premier Silver member who made the purchase must also make the return, even if the item was given as a gift.

Yeah, but it's worst, ahem, Best Buy.

I'm sure even Best Buy has to follow the 14 day rule for VZW phones.

I will find out but they have yet to have to follow any MFGs standard return policy including Apples 14 day rule on returns I have made.

I am sure there are far more knowledgable members here then I with BB policies. All I know is that the program has worked well for myself and I was trying to share the info.

While I can't say 100%, I'm almost positive that's a no. However, I may need to use my 25% discount with them on a few new accessories.

It's crazy, I never thought that even at my Costco the buzz would be so high. Between people that work there, and the customers that I know will be there at opening, I'm pretty sure we're going to sell out immediately. And I don't care if it costs me a sale, one of those bad boys are mine! lol

They selling the accessories too? And not just the docks and battery, but the case, car charger and screen protectors? Our price is going to be the same as VZW's, so of course they could match that.
 
Well, we have 2 Verizon stores and two Best Buys in the city here (one 3 blocks from my apartment, one a few blocks from work), so either way, I'll get my hands on one! My Droid is hurting and my tech heart is hurting since my wife just smashed the screen on our (1 month old) Galaxy Tab 10.1. :(
