Again it depends on the Quality of the Headphones and their limits. You may find Distortion in some cheap $3 eBay headphones but most will handle it just fine. In my Rom i make sure to fine tune everything for the Best Audio Experience. I've never once had an occasion where Audio was distorted on any Audio Enhancement and trust me you won't find the same tuning you find in Mobster Rom V in any other Rom or Mod dare i say its "Near Perfect" you'd have to try it to really understand but im sure even that will not change your mind......

I'd rather hear my music louder than having it be quieter and it being "good quality".
I don't hear any distortion at all anyway. Have you even tried the zip files? I was a skeptic like you, but I've found that it works very nicely.

How from the computer or phone?
lol..... i want to see the guy who connects his phone into a high end receiver.
i don't think the purpose of beats is to produce some amazing higher sound quality. yeah, its a gimmick for end users, and it might make your music louder or allow you to apply effects onto your music, but thats what people who are just listening with headphones in general might want to do... bass boost or whatever.
if everyone could carry around a portable receiver and apply similar effects analog, then i'm sure they would but thats not really possible or the purpose of the beats app anyway.

Actually there's a lot more to it then just the apk there's tons of beats related files in these system folders app, bin, ect, lib, and framework....... One apk does nothing on its own

Beats is nothing but a gimmick. I do just fine manually tuning the EQ in DSP Manager.
