Help Where da beats at?

Some very basic questions here, I'm interesting in buying the buds for my Nexus. I know the quality won't be optimized with respect to software, I'm just looking for a nicer pair of buds from my current Apple ones.

1. Could someone provide a quick rundown of the controls? I'm assuming it's a mic & volume rocker, is there pause and skip as well?
2. Will these controls work on the Nexus?

Thanks

Google is your friend ;) :p 3 buttons, rew, play/pause, ff. I can see the logic with not including a volume rocker or integrating one since you can always use the volume rocker on the phone without waking the phone. In order to fast forward/rewind, that would require unlocking the phone and thus they put that on the earphone cord.

I've heard people talk about the Klipsch S4a's (Although no solid review). I have the S4 which are the same without the "Android Compatibility" and no wire controls. The Beat earphones on the Rezound, they don't sound as good on my MP3 player as the S4s, but on the Rezound with the Beats EQ, they sound better than the Klipsch. For your Nexus you're probably better off going with a different brand unless there is a Beats integrated ROM for the Nexus. Not sure if these would be ICS compatible, but I don't see why they wouldn't be since upgrading from Gingerbread to ICS is more a GUI upgrade.

Based on this post from The HTC One X Hands-On: The Most Exciting Android Phone to Date (UPDATED) I'm hoping that the Rezound gets the same upgrade with regards to the Beats EQ.

The phone has Beats by Dre audio built into it. You might remember that Beats was kind of a non-starter in the HTC Rezound because it could only be utilized in the proprietary player, which was dumb. HTC learned from this mistake and they've pushed the API waaay down deeper. You can now have the Beats enhancements on any audio or video you play through the phone. That includes Spotify, Google Music, YouTube, anything.

However, I still haven't tried a 3rd party EQ app to see if I can get better sound out of the earphones.

I have a CLN rezound which didnt come with the earbuds which is fine because I had bought a pair of the headphones a couple weeks earlier. They are identical to the storee bought version and the sound isnt all that great with the phone through them. I confirmed they were the same and returned them. For the same price(if you want to spend $100 on headphones) I bought the Bose earbuds which are great and also work with beats. The Klipsch set is amazing as well.

PowerAmp now has the option to enable beats audio. It also has an eq. I played with some different eq setting with beats on and off. If you like tinkering with different sounds, beats does sound good with some settings...although I would not use a bass-heavy eq setting with beats enabled.
