Help Where Note install applications

[djuraaaaa]

I have a problem with my SG Note, I'll install some app from Market/Play Shop, but I can't find where installation is.
On some forum's I read that Android install all aplications on root/data/data... but I don't have second data folder.
Also, I read that if I don't have the second data folder, my OS would work properly....Plz help......

I think there is a confusion with the location of root. If you have a stock phone (i.e. you have not rooted your phone) then the root you see is actually /sdcard and not / (root). This is for a reason and that reason is to protect the phone's OS. There is nothing mission critical under /sdcard so allowing users access to this directory is relatively safe. This is not true of the real root directory.

If you want to see application files then you will need to root your phone and then be very careful.

Hope this helps...

Dear Eric
I'm rooted my phon, it's stock, maybe it's problem.....
I'll found root and sdcard folder, and sd external folder... But data on root folder is empty.
Aslo, I can't find some app, some instaled app (i.e. android market, youtube, etc...) I found, but they aren't in root/data/data folder, data on root is empty......
Probabbly I must root my device

What you have found are the public data folders of some apps but not the apps themselves. You certainly will have to root your phone to see more.

One potential option would be to move the application to an external SD card (needed when you have a lot of apps installed). Then you may be able to see the files, but I get the feeling that this is not what you want.

You will need Root Explorer to be able to see these directories. Stock file browsers will not allow you to view these files.

Apps are installed to here:

Downloaded apps:
/data/app

System apps (or apps included in the rom):
/system/app
