Which messaging app do you use on your bionic?

I've always loved Handcent but lately when I get up in the AM and find someone had texted me overnight and I get a message that Handcent is still running and would I like to stop it (or something like that).

And of course it's killing my battery. Should I jump ship in favor of another app?

What do you use?

I do prefer Handsent also... Has anyone had any problems with their Bionic sending a text to the wrong person, usually someone from your phone book, occasionally a total stranger.
This usually occurs when I respond to a threaded message. I can even go back into the text history and see I responded to the correct person, but some one else receives it WTF!!!???

I have experienced this problem using stock text apk, and Handsent. I have experimented with rooted, and stock OS. same problem.

VZW tech support indirectly admitted to knowing about this, but said nothing could be done until the alleged November update...
 
Right now I'm using the old stock app because I like the Android emoticons.

I'm getting the double/triple text thing though - from what I've read it seems to be a Verizon problem, but I'm not going back to Handcent or Go until that's resolved.
 
Handcent here. I have not had any trouble with it on the Bionic.

I need my distinctive ringtones per user. Well not each user, but groups of users, ie family, friends, gf...
 
GO SMS Pro!! It's amazing. I'm usually against the third party messenger apps, browser, etc. But I decided to try this, and holy shit! It's amazing. I don't have any problems with the doubt text thing, and it just works 100x's better.
 
I used Handcent religiously on my OG Droid, but I haven't installed it yet on the Bionic. I'm just using the stock Messaging app, as it's really all that's needed. I do miss the customizations, but whatev. I'm sure I'll go back. Maybe try Go SMS first.
 
I use Handcent. Today I responded to a text and it started texting a bunch of numbers that were not even in my contacts!!?? I shut my phone off, then turned it back on and no signal!!?? I shut it off again and restarted it and my signal came back. I had the phone in my purse while I was inside a store. When I came out I took my phone back out and it was very warm to the touch. I have it shut off again and I dont even want to turn it back on again. When will this end?
 
I use Go SMS. I used to use Handcent a while back, but after having problems sending picture messages I stopped and switched to Go SMS. Alot of the same features than Handcent. To each his own...

Because in the specific instance I mentioned (in the AM and I get a message that it's still running) I get substantial battery drain that I do not get other nights.
