I want Sony to destroy M$ for several reasons. 1. It states that people want the system to be cheaper. 2. it forces M$ to change their polices about DRM and used games as well always online. 3. It forces the Kinnect to be redone. 4. It establishes that people are supporting Sony because their anti M$ approach.

Maybe then when M$ becomes humbled they will make changes that benefit the consumer. People supporting them is just hurting the cause.

You can't take it to certain countries with you either:

Saw it on FB earlier.

I don't travel a lot and I doubt I'd take it with me anyway.

I've been Xbox all the way for ages, but after seeing Destiny and hearing all the stuff M$ has to "offer", I'll likely be getting a PS4.

Destiny is actually launching on PS3,PS4,xbone, and 360. I'm surprised MS didn't bother to mention any games at all that weren't exclusive. It seems like the common perception is that Destiny is Sony exclusive. They showed off the CoD dog for like 10 minutes in May, but didn't say anything about Watch Dogs, The Division, or Destiny, which were my 3 three favorite games of E3. All 3 seem more "next gen" than CoD:Ghosts or even Battlefield 4.

Before E3 I thought Destiny was an Xbox exclusive...MS mentioned the ppl that made Destiny made Halo. I think I saw clips or articles that kept connecting it to Halo.

Sony mentioned it with some game I cant remember. All I know is its another game I wanna get.

Not gonna lie, I pre ordered both consoles. I got time to change my mind. Something I read yesterday has me seriously thinking about canceling the XBO order and just being done with it. At E3....XBO games were ran from a PC. Article said thats common at places like E3...but PS4 games were ran on PS4 dev kits.

I dont know what they did previous years....but for the specs these consoles have....thats not good to still run them on PC's, and the PC had a Nvidia card......the XBO and PS4 both use AMD cards...

The news just keeps getting worse for the XBO and MS...

Its amazing observing fanboys around the net. Sony had a couple of hiccups with freezes and lag during actual game play. No one really mentioned that a couple of XBO games didnt have sound and had to be restarted...

I currently am a PC gamer and will never go back to consoles, but if I were to pick the next gen console I would go with the PS4.

It would appear that the ability to pass computing off to the cloud isn't as big a trump card as Microsoft made it out to be

Just Like Xbox One, PlayStation 4 Can Use Cloud Computing to be More Powerful, Says Sony - PlayStation LifeStyle

Something in this article was mentioned, I thought about it yesterday before seeing the article....

Of course, the Xbox One essentially forces its users to have broadband and a near constant internet connection meaning that developers know they can use cloud computing without segmenting the audience. When asked whether the lack of such restrictions would mean that the PS4′s cloud-based computing technology would face issues of adoption, Yoshida said: “No.”
We don’t believe every title needs that.m But if your title needs [an] online connection to provide some online features: Go for it.
MS is requiring all users to have an internet connection. Already I see a game like Forza 5 is made specifically with that in mind. Some or most of the A.I. is gonna be based on real players. They said you dont have to be connected online to play it, but whose gonna check in, then disconnect to play the game?

Xbox Live Gold has million of subscribers. Why would a game maker or MS require everyone to have a connection when they already have a huge segment of users that do? If Forza 5 did the same thing for the 360, they would still have millions of players part of the A.I.

So MS is risking sales for an extra 20 million users? They want games like Forza 5 to have 50 millions users part of the A.I.? Its not like you are gonna see 50 million cars on screen at the same time...(dont know the hard numbers, but everyone that has a 360 isnt a Gold member.....dr. evil.....)

MS is seriously risking sales due to online check ins, when they dont have to do it. There are millions of PSN+ users too. I would take a guess and say XBL Gold has more members, cant find any definite numbers for PSN+. For some reason Sony doesnt think it needs to force ppl to have internet for games like The Division. A million online players should be more than enough for a game like Forza 5, The Division, ect. Of course the more players online means a better world, but still. Many ppl were already going online without the requirements

Something I thought about with the reversal.....

MS didnt have to remove those features, just tie those features and the DRM to games uploaded to the cloud and downloaded from XBL. Make it so any physaicl disc you buy, if you decide to upload it to the cloud, then you know it will get tied to the DRM.

This way everyone wins. Those that wanted the family share and access games anywhere features still get it.

Good for the gaming community for not bending over and taking what M$ was attempting to force on us. I'm not sure why they were surprised by all of the backlash, did they not realize that nerds pay attention to details? lol

Biggest PR screw-up since New Coke.
Tragedy averted.
Coke Classic is back! :p

Competition is a good thing.

I don't think there was any decision about uploading to the cloud. I think the deal was any game linked to your account gave you access to download it again, similar to Steam. It wouldn't make sense for them to store separate copies for that many people.

Nerds pay attention to details; love to focus on the negative ones; and love complaining about things. This whole thing seems like it was designed to cause bad PR.

I'll buy the XBox 180 when it's less than 400 bucks and has a legit Exclusive than I cant find on the PC and not named Halo or Gears of War.

Until then, PS4 baby!

Titanfall looks so sick. I will be going with the ps4 however. Only thing that makes me want a xb1 is titanfall and thats it. I wont be buying one tho.

I think you have to play TitanFall just because it's the old Infinity Ward crew.

Lawsuits against EA, West, and Zampella

Activision amended its lawsuit against West and Zampella to join Electronic Arts (EA) as a defendant on the grounds that EA began a conspiracy with West and Zampella.[50] [51] In the complaint, Activision accused Electronic Arts of intentionally interfering with contracts, engaging in unfair competition, and aiding and abetting breaches of fiduciary duty by West and Zampella. The complaint also alleged that West and Zampella refused to sign standard exit documents representing that they had returned all Activision property, including computer code. Activision alleged West and Zampella were "motivated by envy and personal greed" and intentionally released game trailers for Modern Warfare 2 the same day Treyarch posted promotional videos for downloadable content for Call of Duty: World at War. The article also showed a transcript of text message between West and an unnamed Infinity Ward employee.[52] In January 2011, the court will rule on Activision's petition to join EA as a defendant. The trial date between Jason West and Vince Zampella vs. Activision was set for June 14, 2011 at the Central Civil West Courthouse at 9:00 am, case number SC107041.[45] However several delays pushed the court hearing to the May 29, 2012. Due to problems assembling a jury pool the date was pushed back even further to June 1, 2012, with 22 days to reach a conclusion. The public trial did not go through, and instead a private settlement was made.
Respawn Entertainment

Main article: Respawn Entertainment
On April 12, 2010 the LA Times reported that West and Zampella were forming a new independent gaming studio known as Respawn Entertainment. They are seeking funding from EA through the EA Partners Program. West and Zampella will incorporate the rights to all intellectual property produced by them in the future.[53][54][55] As of July 10, 2010, 38 of the 46 Infinity Ward employees who resigned from that studio following the firings of West and Zampella revealed through their LinkedIn and Facebook profiles that they had signed on with Respawn Entertainment.[38][56] Respawn has begun work on its first project and is slated for release in 2013 with some teaser images posted on their website.

At those prices, I'll stick with the current X-Box that we got last August.

Maybe around X-Mas of 2014 I'll peruse the pawn shops to see what kind of deals I can get for an XB 1 or PS 4.

Whenever I hear "Xbox One" I think it should be referring to the original Xbox, like the original PlayStation is the PS1. Dumb name.

Has it been confirmed that PSN has been overhauled and actually works yet?

I've heard rumors of cross game party chat, more stability, and Plus required for some games? I'd be more than happy to pay $5 s month for PSN if it works without complaints, than get PSN for free and just be frustrated half the time.

I will try to explain it as best I can with what lil I know......

PSN was and is still free. PSN+ was the paid part of PSN and you will now need PSN+ for multi player. For the longest time that was a pro for PSN vs Xbox Live, everything was free.

Netflix and other stuff like that doesnt need + to work (still dont understand why XBL Gold is needed for Netflix on the 360...) AFAIK, only thing different now is + is needed for multi player.

Cant comment on wired connections, but for wireless the PS3 has inferior wireless hardware vs the 360. The PS3 cant connect to Wireless N, the 360 can. It took many months of trial and error and researching to realize I had to dumb down my router to make my PS3 wireless connection work better, the router has to be switched to a, b, and/or g; one of them.

I've had PSN+ for over a year...and I cant say if the service was better before and after. The PS4 can do wireless N, so it cant be any worse than the PS3. PSN was very shaky after the hack, but it seems fine now. With the PS4 also utilizing "the cloud" lol, PSN has to be a better service than what they have now. Both MS and Sony invested big gobs of money in servers, services recently. MS might still have the leg up because they invested more resources into the UI features. They gonna need the multi tasking, TV Guide, Skype, ect to be damn near flawless.

I wish people would stop using the term DRM and instead use DBD(Defective By Design.)

Ultimately that is all it is, Using firmware/software/hardware to make a product defective when it is new.

I might buy a PS4 if I can't manage to find more Multiplayer FPS/TPS for PC that are void of aimbotters/script kiddies.

well technically now that M'soft reversed their decision on DRM it shouldn't be referred to at all.
