lol did you really just say something positive about the Vita? wow

Absolutely, its a great system that has a lot of potential as stated. Has xbox done anything better... nope. Yea the price is high but what isnt these days. I dont regret buying mine one bit, do wish they would come out with some more games however.

I just don't see why they keep going on with the Kinect. IMO, I never liked the connect and never saw many people even use it. The Xbox One does have a 500GB HD, but it could fill up fast for installing games and such.

i'll just have to politely agree to disagree with you on the Vita.

I'll have to agree with Trophy on this one. As a Vita owner, the handheld console is far from great. What good is potential that isn't being fulfilled by the OEM?

If I hadn't received one as a gift, it is likely that I would not own one.

to be honest i'm gonna wait until e3 to give my vote. but if it is going to be anything it will be the PS4 as i have a PS3 at the moment. however, now that i have a gaming laptop, i really have not played much on the PS3. it has been used mostly as my blu-ray player

but lets see what comes out of e3 and g from there.

Definitely going to build my own rig. There are so many modding options for games, and an uncountable number of fantastic cheap indie games it doesn't make sense for me to purchase a console.

I voted both. I have both now....and flaws n all I plan on getting both again. Exclusives have always had me getting more than 1 console.

But....this time most of my games might be on the PS4, right now most are on the 360. That plus the fact that co workers, friends... most do multi player on the PS3...I had to get Madden 13 and NBA 2K13 for the PS3 to play with them.

After seeing MS plans for used games and DRM, I'm leaning PS4, or none. My guess is Sony will follow the same policy for used games. There still isn't a single game that makes me want a Wii U.

I still stand by my NES and SNES as being the best consoles ever.

Real games that were not made in a 30 minute time span or just a total joke to all games.

Yea...I get home from work and see a whole new round of negative Xbox One articles press.

MS better hope and pray Sony does similar things. I suggested that the Xbox One be given a new category. Its a TV guide, Blu Ray player first, gaming console 2nd. ....doesnt need an internet connection to use the guide and look at blu ray, DVDs.....Has to connect at least once every 24 hours to play games.

Some of the stuff I read about yesterday seems kinda nice. The 10 family member thing..they can access shared games from anywhere....even not at home....how can MS determine who is in my family?

My guess is that you manually add the family member's gamertag to a list on their website.

Well scratch what I said I liked:

10 people can be authorised to play these games on a different Xbox One via the cloud, but not at the same time, similar to iTunes authorised devices.
And this:

Your Xbox One must connect to the internet every 24 hours to keep playing games. When playing on another Xbox One with your account, this is reduced to one hour.
Sony.....they have a chance to be the gaming console leader...

Actually...thinking about how they handle 10 ppl authorized to play games....thats fine. I cant lend 1 disc to 10 different ppl at the same time.

Don't they realize how many people never hook up their consoles to the internet? If your internet goes down, or god forbid, you lose your job and can't afford internet for a couple months, you can't play your games? That's when you need your games the most. No longer owning games, basically just leasing them due to draconian restrictions on loaning or selling "your" games? And don't forget that gameplay elements streaming from the cloud means the games will only work as long as they are supported by the publisher. Total fail for M$.

Personally, I think the 10 family member sharing thing isn't such a bad idea. It's much more convenient than passing around one copy of a disc especially if there's some distance between family members. However there are too many negatives about the XBO that I can't justify rewarding M$ for taking away my rights.

At this point I'm honestly wondering why they are even bothering with the discs. They are obviously looking at the console as just an Xbox Live delivery system, similar to Apple with iTunes, so why not go all in and just make it a set top box with a massive hard drive and make the games download only? They probably saw it as a psychological hurdle, but if you can't do as you wish with the hard copy the effect is the same.

Not to mention that it *might* have saved them all this backlash against used games because there would be no such thing. Then again, charging $60-$70 a pop for digital versions would probably lead to the same anger.

Plus, if something goes wrong on MS end, we are screwed there as well. Lolsec took down the Playstation network for ~2 months. I'm willing to bet something similar will eventually happen with the Xbone.

Because installing from disk is much faster than waiting for the game to download. Full retail games are in the 10's of GB's. They've made the console dependent on the internet, but are aware that most people's internet isn't fast enough to use it exclusively. The next gen will probably be completely streaming/downloading. But, not yet.

I blame the MS content servers. I never waited longer than an hour for even a huge retail game. As far as the $60-70 for digital games, hasn't stopped the PC market but many sell for far less now

Ps4 places no new restrictions on used games or drm management. No online authentication necessary. We have a winner in my case.
