last few years history,

Nextel I580, Sprint HTC Touch Pro, HTC Touch Pro 2

My Wife's history,

Nextel ???, LG Lotus

It should be a learning experience and thanks to all for the helpful post.

I am upgrading from this app erroring, slow ass, non-responsive POS Blackberry Curve. I have been counting down the days! I have to pull the battery on this thing almost daily.

When I get my E3D, I will be taking my Curve out to the range and ole Yellerin' that SOB with a single round of 9mm...finally putting it out of it's misery. I'll be videoing it with my E3D...

I was eligible for upgrade in March and fully planned on getting the EVO 4G...but then CTIA happened. It took all the maturity and judgement I could muster to wait another three months for the release of the E3D...but now I'm glad I waited.

My little brother has a picture of the cell phone he slayed last week with a .223 from his new AR-15 type rifle. The funny part was the new cell phone standing close by, facing the old one.

In his words - I made the new one watch so it would be clear on the entire idea.

Now that is a great idea, LOL

HTC Hero. :D I normally lurk on XDA and it seems a lot of Hero users are finally making the big jump to the Evo 3D. Surprisingly still a lot of development for the Hero, and I just installed a really amazing skin on it, but it's time. I will keep it around though as a backup rather than sell it.

and also to let the new phone know its future fate.

Does the new phone have a front-facing camera? If not, the new phone may have been completely oblivious!

Watching my TP2 die a slow death over the past few months. Really excited to have something that can load a whole web page at once.

I just got off the phone with Sprint. They will have my EVO 3D here on Thursday. I can't wait. It will be a huge step up from the Hero. I know I need to get a extra battery and a charger, just not sure which one to get yet.

LG Env Touch on Verizon. Possibly one of the worst phones ever made.

Same here. The phone is absolutely horrid. It is like having a first edition smartphone without the smart. Unusable internet browsing, phone randomly freezes and/or shuts down, & the screen is too small to use the touch screen texting. And through Big Red (VZW), i am paying 80 dollars a month for 450 anytime minutes with unlimited nights and weekends, unlimited text, and i get 25 mb of data per month.

Monday can't come soon enough. An actual smartphone with all the bells and whistles, and only 65 bucks a month and that includes the 10 dollar 4G surcharge.

EVO 4G here. I have been very happy with it so I figured the EVO 3D would be even better. The 4G will stay in the family though... my husband will inherit it. Lol he get some great hand me downs from me! ;)

It would be interesting to see the damage the .223 round inflicted on the device, and from what range. Shooting my M4 Carbine at about 50 yards, if you hit the steel poles holding up the targets, the round passes right through it like butter. Would be interesting to see if it just pierces through the device, or if it just completely explodes!

I'm switching from my rooted, launch day EVO 4G. I'll miss it, but my wife will enjoy the change. She has my launch day Hero....:p

Who was the gentleman who had the "purple lotus"? I remember that was always so funny because he always said "purple lotus" and not just "lotus"... I felt bad for the poor guy! Wherever he is, I hope he got his Evo3D!!!

That's Rose4uKy, and she is no gentleman by the way. :D
Maybe the color specification comments make a little more sense now?
You're the best Rose.

Sorry, this is way off topic but it reminded me of this fun video I saw:

Decided to test drive the 4g for a bit and it has definitely been a breath of fresh air.

I got so fed up with the Env Touch that I eventually threw it a couple times (hard) against the wall and cracked the screen. The outside screen eventually bled through and was completely unusable. I found that using the inside one was more tolerable, but that just meant I should have opted for the free Env 3 instead of paying 100 bucks for the Touch (or just stuck with my much better previous flip phone). I was an early adopter of the Touch and I really regret it now, but hopefully the 3d will let me forget the past.

And I will never buy LG again.
