I never used a custom rom and I would like to hear a few recommendations before I go all out and push this phone to its limits. What are the pros / cons of the two? Any suggestions or input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Its all preference but if you want my opinion. Do you have an extended battery? If so i suggest using Black plague because it would affect you the least. But if you are like me and using stock battery, I would suggest using Rom Number 2 (actual name) Great Rom. Some people have visual problems with that rom but im install a theme over it (beastcandy) and haven't had any of the issues other people have. There was someone else on this forum who also has beastcandy over their rom number 2 and they don't have the problems either.
Either way its my suggestion.

I mainly rooted my phone so I could use lucky patcher and bootleg a ton of paid apps but I started to notice that the ram would be slowly overwhelmed by apps running in the background and my appkiller won't kill them. I would have to restart the phone every other day in order to free up the ram. It's beginning to be a pain to always have to do it. I am really not worried about the appearance because I have spb shell and tsf shell installed. Great apps btw I would be more than happy to share. But all in all I would like to do some overclocking on the cpu and play some of the badass hd games that I been dl ing. I have to get this ram to cooperate with my commands. Anyway, my battery is the standard one so sounds like I should roll with rom number 2. Thanks for the input and let me know if you have any ideas on how to kill the stupid apps that are draining my ram.

Sorry I don't have much money to blow on apps. I have to get it somehow. Lol. It's a pirate's life for me! If I were a baller I would not have a metro phone trust me. I'm still all in favor of supporting the devs. Think of me as a guy who likes to test something before buying it.

I have three paid apps on my phone. Swiftkey, romtoolbox pro, and fpse. I was using bootlegged version of all three before i bought them.

Exactly. Who has $20 to just throw away on trying out paid apps? Like tsf shell. I would have been so mad if I bought that app before trying it out. It's better for a tablet instead of a phone. If I get a tablet, I will buy tsf shell. This is the primary reason for file sharing. Most of us support the devs who make awesome apps. Torrent downloads are the greatest promotional tools imo. I pay for nothing minus ROM toolbox and xbox live statistics. I pirate EVERYTHING I mean EVERYTHING else. Hate all you want. Also to put in my two cents, being that I also run all paid apps and all the high end games I'm not too keen on the way the custom roms are set up so I just use the zva stock ROM rooted, de bloat what I want and push this thing to the extreme at times and I run into lil to no problems whatsoever.
