Ok, so I finally rooted my Nexus 4....

What is the MOST stable rom? I am looking for a rom that is stable and everything works (does this exist?) Good battery life and speed.... I never flashed a rom or kernal before on this phone, is the kernel separate from the rom?

Thanks for tips/suggestions!!!!!

Roms will include a kernel, rom can not run without it, however you can flash a different kernel if you dont like what the rom has.

I am running feb 22 nightly of cm10.1 and matrix rom battery life is great, on light to moderate use it lasts well over 1 day.
On very heavy use, gps navigation bluetooth, screen always on, etc. it lasted 8 hours.
This version of cm10.1 has everything working well(as far as I can see) I would think many others will too.

Not rooted, yet, but don't think it'll be long. Love the CM ROM's... think that would probably be the way I went :)

Still on the CM10.1 monthly, but switched to the ParanoidAndroid half breed kernel yesterday and it seems good so far. The screen is certainly clearer now and battery looks to be on par with stock CM10.1. :)

Hi..my current rom is aokp-jbmr1-build 5...supplied kernal with great battery life compared to galaxy nexus..lol luvin it

I can't praise ParanoidAndroid highly enough, absolutely superb on the stock kernel with adjusted screen colour's it's awesome.

Note: I haven't flashed any other ROM but really the OP needs to test ROMs out and see what suits them best.

Thanks for the responses. I went with raspbean and trinity kernel. Not getting the same battery life I hear others getting. Thinking of trying paranoidandroid next. I see here some like the supplied kernel with that rom, anyone find a different kernel that may work better for them? I like to keep changing until I find the best combo for myself.

Thanks again....

Faux and Franco kernels are highly regarded. I've been using Franco's kernel for months personally.
