Root Which Rom Please

For battery - Redux (Stock Gingerbread AOSP)

Sorry to be pedantic but aosp and stock are 2 different things.

AOSP - built from the android open source project. These Roms are vanilla (no proprietory UI)

Stock - stock Roms are different on every device. Stock on the desire is HTC sense. These are the Roms that the device has on them as stock (sold with / factory fitted). Stock literally means "on the shelf". "yes sir, we have the HTC desire in stock".

I feel I have to make this distinction because many refer to vanilla as stock and it gets confusing.

SUroot can you test this, i dont want to discount the others but Ive noticed the delay and so has Hadron both who are veteran testers of roms.
imo there should be no reason for redux to be different from the call delay issue as its present for nearly all the kernels and certainly present on manu on other gb roms and present for me with manu on redux.
ive flashed back to GV as i only flashed redux to check but for me it was certainly there.
maybe people dont notice as much as 2 seconds is not a lot of time and theyve adjusted.
I noticed it more when receiving the call and trying to speak immediately

No need to test, I can confirm I get the delay. Not every time perhaps but sometimes certainly.

There is a phone.apk the dev posted in the redux thread to see if it fixes the issue, but couldn't be bothered to test it.

Why dont you flash and test yourself? Its not hard and you can back up your current ROM then you can see for yourself.

Rasta... Don't mean to sound rude but it is the easiest way.
lol ill let you off cos its the morning, but please read my posts

I have tested it with manu 1.4 kernel as i have a nand of it that i built last week for testing purposes as i TEST roms THOROUGHLY.
the onyl reason i moved back to GV is because of image degradation on the ROM which i only seemed to notice but now other people see it when i reported it.

I have the delay, there are many people here saying "it doesnt have it" however it know its present in nearly all if not all current GB roms so thats why i wanted SUroots opinion as hes as ruthless as me for testing

Its definitely there. I noticed it quite badly the other day. I very recently deletd call delay patch which *may* have improved things, sometimes.

I guess I should try the phone.apk too, but testing for call delay takes a long time.

I've just tested mine again, 100% certain no delay.
Is it possible it is down to radio, kernel or build (or a combination of them.) Mine is a later machine with the SLCD display.

A kernel has fixed it in the past but caused echo.

I can't remember if its on incoming calls or outgoing. Basically the microphone turns on too late. It's in all 2.3 Roms.

Personally I find it about 1 second rather than 2
