Root Which ROM Should I Use Now?

Es3 is good he is working on es4 right now too. Kings unleashed r4 just dropped and is my suggestion (2, 3, or 4). Kings sense two point three is based on a leaked version of 2.3 that isn't out yet and may be buggy still so you may not want that one

I absolutely love Kings roms. They have all worked flawlessly for me. Well all up to R4, I didn't know he dropped R4 yet!

I'm going to be in the dog house this weekend, the wife will not like me playing with my phone after I flash this! :D
 
well i flashed R4 and i wasn't really impressed. I only lasted about 15 minutes with. I downloaded R3 and I'm loving this black theme!!! Every time i flash a ROM i say it's the best one lol. Good bye....For now mikfroyo.....Im gonna stick with kings R3 for a little bit :D

Well I feel you cya but I do a lot of my own themeing after I flash. I want something snappy that works well and has a framework I can work with so I dont have to change too much in there, kings r4 is that for me. I dont like the lack of color in r3 I like red.
 
can someone knowledgeable with Kings help me understand what these mean and how I use them.

* Kings Crazy MIX of animations

* Green and White Tallmin text home screen icons (how do i change the shortcut on text icon to go to handcent instead of stock messaging app?)

* Removed Market Updater apk

The different screen animations, like flipping, spinning, flying...blah blah blah

IM lost on this one..Try using desktop visualzer it can make custom shortcuts, the icon you probably want to use (the stock system text icon) is in framework-res.apk/drawable-hdpi likely but might be in the messaging apk. Probably available to download the icons from his thread too just search on down the OP.

He removed market updater so that your market would retain its theme, if he left it your market would update to the ugly as green one again.

I like R4. It's nice, simple, and fast. Not sure about battery life yet, but it's giving me a good first impression. ;) I'll report back tomorrow with battery results.

Ha I dunno never messed with those lol. Aren't they already enabled? I've seen them in flash able form on the op...maybe someone else knows more about his window animations
 
Well, I'll be honest. Battery life on R4 isn't very great.Went from 100% to 50% in from 7:50 to 5:30. Had Wi-Fi on for about 30 minutes, and went from 50, to 15. Ahh. Try to use another ROM.

Have you tried a different kernel? Try a toastmod kernel with that rom. I am running Kings R2 with Toast 4.3.1 CFS HAVS nosbc, and I get 24-30 hours no sweat. Usually I end up killing my battery with angry birds, but still I can drop the hammer and go all day without a charge.
