Did a lot of looking at the XDA site and reading up. Eventualy went for MIUI XJ and am liking it :) It's nice having 116MB of internal memory ;) Fast enough for me and nice and stable. Lots of customisation options too.

Thanks to SURoot, Hadron & all the others who contributed to the guides I am now running InsertCoin 1.0.9 (Sense 2.1+3.0) & loving it. All previous apps installed and 126MB free is a nice sight :cool:

Also giving HTCSense.com a try to see if there is anything of value to be gained from it. I know it is a bit gimmicky, but I like the idea of making my phone ring from web (already tried it) and the remote forward/lock/erase options.

Well if HTCSense.com doesn't perform up to scratch, there are security apps you can install (such as Lookout) which offer similar options.

@Hadron

Yes, I had Lookout before I rooted/flashed the ROM, thanks, & found it to be fine. This was more of an ancillary gimmick extra to play around with... for 5 mins :D

I'm now using teppics Stock GB Rom with A2sd+

I previously used his Froyo Rom and it worked flawlessly I ran it for a couple of months. I just wanted a Stock Rom that worked 100% had no issues and alleviated the low space problem. I know this wont be for everyone but it meets my requirements.

Only downloaded the GB one today but so far so good.

I am currently using Oxygen 2.1.6., but have tried Sense based roms (2.2), MIUI, and a LOT of other AOSP roms. I think I am sticking with Oxygen until ICS is released and some new roms come out.

I've actually swapped from redux to my own personal build recently. Its running pretty well if I do say so myself

Well I originally voted "Sense", as at the time I was still attached to it (and also a bit unsure about trying something radically different just after rooting), but since then I've tried maybe 7 or 8 different roms and have now settled on MIUI (XJ, A2SD). Been running it for about 6 weeks I think, maybe a bit longer, and I really like it. I still have the occasional trawl through the rom thread over on xda, but nowt I've seen has made me want to change. :)

I've been using Redux 1.2 for about a week now, it's solved a couple of my main issues (lack of space and dislike of Sense) but I'm not seeing the battery life improvements I was hoping for.

Using SUroot's dGB ROM. Such small and minimalistic ROMs (including DevNull and CM7 Light) allow us to have more space for apps and have exactly the things we want in the phone.

Moved to Oxygen v2.2.2 ROM, because Oxygen ROMs have worked very nicely for me and because I wanted to try their latest version.
All is running rock-solid, with an installed ROM size of 95MB.

He uses it for speed of screens on homescreen, but i'm working on abolishing this from dGB currently.

theres not much of an issue with speed on the homescreens though. the trade off is terrible
theres one thing having a minimal rom but an ugly one is just upsetting as otherwise it would have been perfect for me

Well Ihlades really seems to know his sh*t imho. Plus the notifications area looks wicked compared to the standard offering
