Root Which Root?

Totaly new to this. Can somebody suggest a good rom/kernel to try on a thunderbolt. Mainly i want the phone to work faster and be able to use the teather/hotspot features, as well as improve battery life. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I would suggest any of the GB sense ROMs if you want to maintain a stock look and feel, but enjoy added features.
