Metro PCS. Not sure if that would fall under T Mobile now?

They only offered it in white but I was going to pick that color anyway.

This poll has been dead a while. Thought I'd bring it back to the top to see if it would get more polling data. The threads do seem to be Verizon dominate sometimes, but maybe that's because I own that variant and the bias skews my observations. Vote people!

There are actually 10 variants according to Wikipedia. So do your best in deciding where to vote.

Yep. Not many people have verizon relatively but it seems to be the most problematic of the variants

True. Verizon makes us jump thru hoops to get it 'like we like it'. Still a great phone and service. If it wasn't, I wouldn't put up with Verizon.

well.. maybe becuase (according to the poll) .. there are more verizon owners here.. and are more vocal?

:p

Yes but the poll is inaccurate. No way there are more Verizon users but yes they are more vocal and more likely to identify themselves in polls :)

How is it inaccurate? People voted...VZW is above and beyond the largest carrier in the US...

If most users of these forums are in the US then its likely that most of us have the VZW variant...

You can't use a "per capita" argument and say because more complaints reference the VZW version as "proof" the VZW version is somehow more likely to have issues...and then simply dismiss the poll results as "inaccurate"

Verizon 16GB blue I live in one of those "dead zones" and Verizon is the only carrier that gives me a consistent signal. Ironically a few months ago I was visiting my mom in NY and it turns out that she has the same problem in her area. Most of her friends have to go outside to use their phones, but VZW worked for me. :thumb:

So what? VZW pales in significance in the world market. Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa and South America is a much bigger market. This thread died quickly so not everyone voted so how can a poll ever be accurate?!

The only accurate poll is one where everyone votes

If most users of these forums are in the US

Why would you think that they are?

Yet completely irrelevant...How many users do you think are actually here from outside of English Speaking territories?

its not...however its no less accurate than your assumptions...

it depends what you're measuring

Why would you think that they are?

A hunch...

In what measurement? Loads? OK. Boat loads. Europe and Asia, loads of S3 owners from there post in this forum.

its no less accurate than your assumptions...

Never claimed to be accurate. Just that the poll is inaccurate, which is logical.

it depends what you're measuring

Please refer to thread title.

you would have to ask forum administration where the bulk of their IP traffic is from...but my wager is the US...and then id wager that the highest percentage of US users is VZW...

Sure its inaccurate...but then why make your statement about VZW phones being faulty?

I like this idea, but I'm not sure you could easily track IP traffic that was targeted at a specific sub forum such as the S3. It would be taking into account the forum traffic for all the android phone models, and I suspect that forums for different android phone models will have much heavier traffic from particular countries. It would be really interesting to see the data though.

Oh I wasn't talking about that when I said I wasn't being accurate.

Yep, I believe that more problems exist with Verizon. I guess its their quality control process.

What is your evidence to suggest this? The root forum is the only one broken down by provider...and VZW has more threads than all the others...and combining all the US carriers together DWARFS the international forum...

The evidence that is readily available shows that the VZW forum has the most threads...which loosely correlates to traffic/number of users...

All the threads that say "Verizon - this and that" in General. Remember I said problematic not faulty. Anything that generates a [support] thread really.

The international phone is pretty much plain sailing so there aren't as many threads. Its not about throughput / traffic or OMG Verizon are taking over the world.
