White EVO coming

The Evo with THREE different colors looks absolutely god awful. I was hoping HTC had some sense (get it? SENSE? eh? EH? ;)) but alas they messed up the white Evo so sooo badly.

Made me want to burn out my eye sockets just looking at it :eek:

Seriously though, that is pretty ugly. If they had made the front white as well and changed the red innards to blue it'd be sweet.
 
I real don't think this phone will be ugly like some are saying,i notice it back when i watch the google i-o keynote and it had a nice look to it, like someone stated the all white is kiddy but i think this two tone looks nice and mature.I didn't think the EVO would look good i thought it would look some what cheap like the htc incredible but the EVO has a nice look and feel now that i see it first hand and get to play with my girlfriend.
 
Should have made the whole thing white like the new iPhone 4, i don't like the look of white on the back and then all black on the front, should be all or nothing.
 
Why didn't they make the front of the phone white as well? What's the point of only making the back white? It looks silly with a black front and white back. And yeah, if you use a case, nobody will ever see it's white.

I went ahead and emailed HTC to let them know how crappy the phone looks. Hopefully other customers do the same so they learn a lesson for the next phone they try this with...

If you never hold or see this phone up close how can you pass judgement.?

The same reason the screen is LCD instead of AMOLED: $$$. I cannot imagine that it costs that much money to just change the color of the backplate.

I remember HATING the dual color look of the "white" iPhone 3gs being white on the back and black on the front.

Dual colors on a smartphone make it look cheap and tacky which is why Apple changed the look of the iPhone 4 to full white front and back.

I've seen a closeup of the 3 color EVO on the Bestbuy website with a 360* view and it looks terrible :(
 
Wow, that looks lame. I take back my wanting the white htc evo. Now, if it was all white that would be better..

No, looking at the picture, you can see that the white extends beyond the battery cover. The picture seems to answer your question quite clearly.
 
Wow... way to copy Apple HTC that's really gay... look ok tho but still the fact that they copied apple like that, not very attractive...
 
no what you are seeing is light shining on the edges of the handset. its called edge light. its also called back light.

the photo does not make anything clear.

hasnt someone called into the best buy corporate number and asked?
