alright I'll email it to you. Right now I'm trying to get 4.3 to enter Google Setup.
I keep getting Google Apps force closing
 
ya, i flashed over 4.1 so i didnt notice, but another person pointed it out
im upping the fixed one right now
 
4.3 seemed to install faster than 4.1.

Once it was in, however, two deal-breaker bugs reared their heads: force close on the Google sync utility right at the point of clicking the Google choice of Google and corporate, and pressing the browser icon caused "connecting" to sit there on the screen perpetually with no browser coming up.

The connection was fine, because it showed three bars and messaging did work.

Thanks for posting your updated WW right away.. it looks like there still may be some issues; perhaps there's something I can do to solve those two I am reporting. Let me know.
 
I'm dl'ing 4.3 now, I love vanilla roms so i'll check this one out. Just one thing I've noticed is the somewhat large file size. The file is 78mb, which for a vanilla rom seems a tad large. For example CELB 2.5 is 52 mb, plus the google apps which is another 10mb is 62mb total.

Any reason why this is a larger file for a pure vanilla ROM?

so your browser isnt working?
and the google sync isnt working either?

Good Morning. 1rst-----SLEEP.

ROM all loaded up here is what I have seen so far. I will post more as the day progresses.

GPS / Maps - Got a Sat lock. Can navigate.

Browser - Working (for me at least)

MMS - working

Widgets resize - working

All accounts still syncing, flashed over 4.1

The only thing missing for me is the camera. No entry in the programs list. I don't know where to look and see if the files were there so I can't say. I was able to resolve the issue by flashing a camera zip I had on my HDD. I tried a clean flash with the latest posted zip you put up and the camera was still not there.

I'll put some more mileage on there and see what I can find.

Andrizoid, if you are still awake I have the zip, just don't know how to get it to you, too big for me to upload here.

Hey.. your work is appreciated immensely whether you do it over a period of time or whether you beat yourself to death getting it done; you might as well take your time, then, ay? ;)

True Statement. I find that as i get older sleep is more and more and more and more and more important.
 
ive actually been up with some other stuff. friend did too much extacy last night and called me freaking out :/

the issue with the camera i noticed last night also, you can find the 5mp camera on my website, ill fix the link soon though

frisco, did you get the issues worked out?
 
im sigining the new zip, will have it uploaded soon, all it does is add the camera apk

if you dont want to reflash the whole zip, just download the camera apk from my site. its the same one
 
As I was going through my configuration routine, I went into the sync menu and pressed "Google" in the Google and Corporate choices for syncing.

As soon as I did that a prompt appeared saying, "Sorry, blah.. force close.. blah" with an "okay" button on it. It did that every time I tried.

Should I have flashed a Google apps zip? I had to do that with Cyanogen 2.7.

The browser thing was strange because I either clicked the home screen icon by accident or it invoked itself.. I'm assuming I clicked it by accident; at any rate, the "connecting" prompt near the top of the screen, right under the notification bar, remained for about 10 minutes while I explored settings menus.. it was always there when I went back to the home screen.
 
the google synching thing was my fault. i left something out in the first upload.

the newest upload is there, go download that one and give it a shot. that one has all the stuff in it. i dont really have any testers, so unless i notice something myself it tends to get overlooked.

newest link is up and fixed.

found something on the hero forums.
it maps all the notifications to the trackball.
im testing it now.
hows that sound?
ill be able to write an update zip rather than a full rom for that though.

looks hero specific for now.

You're issues may very well be resolved with the new upload. Google apps were bombing on a clean install with the old one.


Andrizoid, just me PM if you need to test. I have access to more than one Eris but i will happily test on mine. Nand is yo friend !!!

except when you currpot your boot loader. then vzw is your friend....IF an only IF they send you a rootable eris.

i had to get a replacement not too long ago. actually all of my donations are going towards buying me a new one off ebay/craigslist/yo mamma

i dont want to test on my own eris, especially when im testing new kernels and all that
