Root Who is a Dev.? or who's willing to teach? [things like ascend code, and modding]

As of right now Im in a computer service tech. class, actually finishing this 15th... I have my degree and everything, and I was really interested in becoming a dev. or some-sort of that, like isaac [even though he isnt] and other people who worked on the ascend cm7.
I would really like to help and pickup knowledge on how to do what he was doing and possibly in the future make my own, or just continue helping out with the cm7 -ascend.
Anyone think they can help?
I really love what isaac did and I would love to help further this project.

Thats pretty cool, Unfortunatly I dont know what do do. basically Im at the trial and error stage of modding, and building roms. I need some guidance. lol
 
no actually, but I was looking into it after you sent the github page and I read down a little. what Is it basically?

EDIT: Ah Its an operating system?

Not much of a coder lol. I can edit and debug enough to get by thus far lol.

I have isaacs repo setup on my laptop and know how to compile etc, and have been compiling his builds myself for awhile now. I speak with isaac quite often, so he will steer me in the right directions if I cant figure sumtin out myself i'm sure.

I'm also gonna try to do a cleanup of the new 2.2 update and maybe deodex it so its not so big.

see thats what I wanna learn ha, just thinking about learning to edit, debug, learn codes and everything just seems exciting to me.
hopefully one day imma be as good as you guys.
Also deodex... whats that? a different rom?

Nah, the apps have 2 files stock, a apk and a odex file. Suppose to be more efficient like that, but makes its hard to theme. So deoex'ing is merging the 2 files into one.
