Who LOVES the hump?

I like it because with the way the phone fits in my hand, my index finger rests up against it and I don't have to hold the phone as tight to keep a good grip on it (it keeps it from sliding out of my hand). The rubberized backing on the phone is nice too.

It makes holding the phone with your shoulder easier while talking, as well as holding it in your hand. Someone else said it bothers them in landscape mode, when it is laying on their desk. That doesn't bother me because I have to tip it towards me to see it anyways, as my eyes are 40+ years old...

Bottom line is that I don't love it or hate it, and it shouldn't be a deal breaker for anyone, ever...

My only complaint about the hump is that I wish they would have put the speaker in the cove right there so it's not muted as much when laying on it's back. I think it actually would have made a way for the sound to amplify.

I love the hump. It is the perfect grip for the phone! I think the hump will sweep smart phones! They will all have humps soon!

When I first saw the pics on engadget of the "X" I was aww to bad for that ugly hump...then my moto droid gets water spilled on it so I get replacement..I wanted the incredible but it was out of stock and still is...soon as I saw that you could pre order the X I closed my eyes and jumped all over it...The hump is non existent to me. I'm wayyyyyyyyyy happy with my decision..in short for me the hump actually helps me hold the X with my pointing finger when I hold it with one hand.

I love the hump; it especially comes in handy when the device is placed on a flat surface.

Though I will say, when I saw the initial design, this totally came to mind:

I always put it in my pocket the same way, hump up. It helps me to pull it out. Love the hump! Love the phone!

I used to carry it that way but found out it stays up right better with the hump down. It would fall over in my pocket with it up.
