Who's Switching?

I'm not because it will get the same. 3g speed as the triumph right? The nearest.wimax spot to me is only 400-500miles I believe... correct me if I'm wrong I only Google's wimax spots nothing else :o

I believe it... The nearest place that has Sprint WiMAX to me is in Seattle a few hundred miles away from me. There are only like 30-40 cities in the US that have WiMAX coverage.

Im still on the fence whether or not i would be upgrading to the evo or stay with the triumph. i used to have clear internet for a month so i know 4g is available in my area. But then i will will have to pay 35/month which sucks. and not even sure how much the phone will be. and another thing is that vm price is now higher than tmobile so really why not switch to better serves.

That's my situation too. Contemplating getting a Gal Nex on cyber Monday and switching to tmo

That kind of pisses me off. They think it's some huge update, but the 4G coverage is really limited...

Still gonna switch to T Mo with the GS3

^^then don't complain and make the switch..for most of us this is a big upgrade. I myself live 3 miles away from Wimax coverage so its all gravy. Plus this phone is a good step forward for VMUSA

IT IS a huge upgrade ... at least for me it is. It's a good thing I live in a major city, it's SCATTERED with WiMax towers.

Ill definitely be switching. The Triumph has been plagued with poor GPS, touchscreen, and data speeds. If it wasn't for the awesome devs at this fourm, I would have drop the Triumph for the Optimus V a long time ago. If the Evo V 4g is the exact same as the Evo 3d, then I see no reason why we cant install the same custom roms that are for the Evo 3d on our Evo V 4gs. Ive looked at the fourms and they have a wide selection of roms for the Evo 3d, and even with the Evo 3d stock, it blows away the Triumph .And now that its going to have the updated Adreno 220 drivers for ICS, its going to outperform the Evo 3d on Sprint! I couldnt be happier to finilly get a new HTC phone, ive been waiting for VM to put out a good HTC phone and its finally here! :D

considering people who flashed the leaked evo V rom onto their Evo 3D now have only some things working, but a lot of broken stuff... I don't think it will be as easy as just flashing and going. Some stuff will probably have to be changed, but it should be easier ;)

A number things will be considered before I make the switch. I'm perfectly happy with my MT at the moment except for the GPS. I really like the bloatware was very limited, no Motorola UI, and the phone is pretty snappy, hardly ever any lag. So even if I do decide to do it, I will definitely wait this time for the reviews, and if they're good, for the price to come down. Battery life will have to be better than what the MT has, which is probably the worst of all the Androids (6th) I've had to date. Also I'm not sure I want to give up $25 a month for faster data connection, I don't use it stream that much that I need to pay more. I do like the idea of having ICS and I've heard great things about the camera (Not the 3D part), which on the MT was a little disappointing for a 5 MP shooter. Also because its an older phone, there's a real good aftermarket support with batteries chargers, mounts etc; But considering you can get unlimited talk as well for $35 a month with Metro using the family option, is another reason I can't quite convince myself to switch. And last, it looks as if there is a possibility that the Samsung S3 is coming to Metro. If that happens, I'm jumping ship.

Slightly off topic, does anybody else think that maybe VM is delaying the OS upgrade for the MT till after the EVO hits the market so as not to interfere with EVO sales? If by some miracle, they give the MT ICS, then I'm almost definitely not switching to the EVO.

Is Cyber Monday usually bring it to a cheapest price compare to like Christmas or Thanks giving? (They all have good deals but want to switch with a lower cost since I am ok with my MT)

I'm sticking with the triumph till I switch to the sg3 or another quad phone. The evo 3d does look nice, I especially like the 1gb ram, which if the triumph had would be a lot better. Im either going sprint sg3 (having to deal with contracts) or going sg3,iPhone 5, or another quad phone and moving it to h2o or red pocket, which are a lot like viriginmobile but use AT&T network plus no contacts. I don't know though, getting me and my girl a couple of nice phones (sg3, iPhone, etc), unlimited data, and all that with sprint (even with contracts) for $80/month doesn't sound to bad.

US variant of the samsung galaxy s 3 is not quad core it is dual core 1.5 gigahertz because of quad core's incompatibility with LTE.

Actually that's not completely true. It may have the next gen quad-core exynos processor which will be more compatible with LTE... But still nothing is for sure until it actually gets to the US.
