Help Why do I keep getting a "SD card is not mounted" error?

Every time I plug my phone into the computer to transfer files, I get an error that says "Attention Required! SD card not mounted. Mount SD card".

I never had this problem with my HTC desire using the very same card, so what's going on and how do I fix it?

have your tried and unmount and mount your sdcard? if the problem persist, i would backup your card on your computer and format it.

When the EVO first launched it was a common problem to see that error. What we did to fix it was unmount and format the SD card, then remount it. Every time we sold an EVO we did it to avoid the problem.
