Why does android phone suck compare to iphone?

It seems like every time I get a new iphone the battery life doesn't seem to drain as fast as the lg v20. I have had iphone since the 4,4s,5,5s,6 plus. The battery life on iphone is amazing for a small battery but seems to last longer then an android?

I did the same things. I watched videos, use gps, browse internet but my v20 seems to drain battery faster oh and I can't use a regular usb charger if I want to use nav because then I would still lose battery even though I am charger other wise I would need a fast charger port so I need to buy an additional charger socket for my car. Why does everything seems worst for me on android then on ios?

Even apps such as banking crashes and I know that android has lots of phone makers but why is there so many when they can't even let the app developers fix the crashes. I am on the latest os which is nougat. Everything did seem better on my iphones than on android and I think I might be going back if iphone 8 or whatever they call it comes out. Why put even a 2k display on a phone that doesn't even need 2k if it will drain the battery, 1080P is good enough. The only thing I like bout android phones is that some have a sd card slot for more memory. My iphone was a 128GB and that did not seem much to me when I was recording videos at 1080P 60 FPs. I miss 1 app from iphone which is imovie because it made editting a video simple and the best of all, its free from apple!

If you get the Moto Z Play and put a battery pack mod on it all of your battery problems will go away.

Every phone is different; personally not a fan of the LG and it's battery life issues. There are many other options that have better battery life and features than the iPhone. Bottom line, though- If you are a fan of the iPhone then go with it! I am curious why you left in the first place if you were happy with Apple. It seems you might not be happy again until you go back. Everyone has their own preferences!

I think your topic title is a little loaded though.

I wanted to give android a try and see if I like because I was just like wow why not give android a try since it seems to be a little nicer but 30 days later, I don't like it compare to iphones. I shouldn't have to try different brands to see if I like the os better. LG v20 has a some good cpu to and ram so I figured it might be on par or better then the iphones. Camera quality lacks also compare to my iphone which is like what 1 year apart? I can't seem to find an app like imovie either for the android phone and I have to still pay to get added features which the imovie app didn't.

blah blah blah, heard this all before....

Well, actually, you should. Android is not iOS. It's not a closed platform where all devices are the same and made by the same company. Android is an open source os and every manufacturer customizes it their own way with their own user interface and kernel and bloatware apps, etc.

I would say that if you want to try Android, then try a Pixel device or a Nexus device as they are pure Android. You will then be able to see what Android is, just as Google made it, without any customization from manufacturers.

I have the Pixel XL and the battery life is great.

The shortcoming you pointed out is not a reflection on the quality of the Android O/S. It's the hardware specific to the phone you're using. Other phones may have a higher quality camera, more to your liking.

I don't understand the purpose of this thread, other than to air your dissatisfaction. You're not going to find that many (if any) people agree with you as this is obviously a biased forum and most people here are very happy with their Android phones. Ultimately it's down to personal preference, and budget as to which hardware you opt for. If Apple kit works for you, and you like their applications then fine, but you pay the price.

Rant, I think.

Funny thing is that I don't suffer app crashes using a much older phone. And if I compare with my iPhone-owning brother the thing that stands out is that my phone is almost 4 years old, while he says that his iPhones' batteries are always shot after 18 months (I do not have a user-replaceable battery).

Better Values
With smartphone subsidies going the way of the dinosaur, you have to take a hard look at your next phone's full retail price. If you want an iPhone, you have five choices: the $399 iPhone SE, the $649 iPhone 7, the $749 iPhone 7 Plus and last year's models: the $549 iPhone 6s and $649 iPhone 6s.

It's all about choice. The more diversity you have in telephones, the more choices you have. IPhone is a great OS, no doubt. For me, so far it has been a little too confining. Android gives me more choices. Enjoy your iPhone. It's a great phone. In the end, it doesn't really matter it's only a thing. :-) Thank you for your post.

Blasphemy!!! But seriously, look into more than one manufacturer of Android device... I use Moto devices and have had a good experience with the battery lasting me all day and apps rarely if ever crash on me. Otherwise it sounds like IPhone might be a better experience for you from what you've said...

My Pixel XL is quite up to scratch. It's fast, charges fast, data transfer is fast and with my normal usage I'm still getting and extra 3/4 of a day more battery life. To make that last bit make sense, my Nexus 5X and most phones I've had before that could only do 8-12 hours with my usage, my Pixel XL has been able to go from 6:20AM on day 1 to about 5PM the following day.

My usage is a fair bit of Facebook browsing, including watching videos, browsing tech articles for at least 2 hours each day and playing a mobile game usually for an hour in the morning, 20 mins at lunch and an hour or so in the evening.

I think Android is improving personally, or maybe Google knows how to build a phone properly lol.

I also find the battery life on iPhones to be better than my Android phones. I use the Nexus 6P. I don't have any experience with the LG V20 though. I always found the power management on iPhones to be noticeably better than Android phoens.

Fast charging technology is fairly new, only a few years old. Before, my old Android phones would discharge slowly when using a navigation app while driving. I bought a fast car charger for my phone 6 months ago and my phone charges while I use the navigation app now.

My experience in the past few years is that apps are just as stable on Android as iOS. It seems they crash on both systems just as often which is very infrequent. It will vary depending on the app and possibly the particular Android phone you use.

Regarding iMovie equivalent on Android, try KineMaster. It is highly recommended by a blogger who switched from iOS to Android.

If you are very used to iOS, perhaps switching to Android is just not something you like. I know that I certainly don't like iOS for various reasons and some of it is that I am more used to Android. It is unfortunate that you are having difficulty with your Android phone. I hope that when you switch back to iOS, you will be happier.

I remember that studies over the years have generally found that Android suffers fewer app crashes. However because Android draws attention to crashes with a message to tell you that the app has force closed, while iOS just silently returns you to the desktop, many iOS users don't realise when an app had crashed.

ios is a better optimized operating system. Android it's about hardware, ios is about software. That's why the iPhone 5s with 1g tam out performs the majority of Android phones with 2g of ram as for as stability
