Root Why does Oxygen ROM only leave me with 95mb internal memory? And How do flash Custom Partition Table

ill talk to you more about this tomorrow ok :) thanks alot for all your help :) :D means alot

I think before moving dalvik to SD I had 85mb free then after moving dalvik to SD I have 135mb free... I think, will the dalvik always store on the SD now or will I have to keep moving it again via the terminal?

Ok so that sounds like really good statistics.

The dalvik will remain on SD EXT, unless you do a factory reset or wipe dalvik cache, then it will need to be moved again.

Ok awesome :D I'm really happy with the ammount of apps I can have now :) but do u have any idea why this is... when I tap 'move to phone' on all my apps I am then left with like 60mb but if I tap 'move to SD card' I am left with about 133mb free :/ do. U know why that is?

Hmm... but basicly u said not to click move TO SD but I have more memory free that way than having clicked 'move to phone' so shall I just keep it like that as I have most mxemory that. Way? I mean the Apps2SD+ is working and when I have 19mb angry birds on the 'phone' it only looses 1mb from the phone space :/

I cant advise as I have no idea how your phone is working.

I have just moved 99 applications to SD card to test and my memory went up by 3MB, I moved them back and it went down by 3MB, I moved them back to SD it remained the same. I moved it back to phone and it remained the same.

oh right ok :) so would you advise that i just do whatever gives me most free space (whether that is having 'move to sd' or 'move to phone')??

Do what you like, I cant diagnose this remotely as I cant understand why your phone is doing this.

Using a2sd is still better than Move to SD as you can still use apps even when you have mounted the card on the PC.

I would never advise using "move to SD" in conjunction with a2sd.

If you make sure everything is definitely on internal and move the dalvik cache again in terminal emulator to be sure.

type "su" and press enter
type "a2sd cachesd" and press enter

Phone should reboot.

It just doesn't make sense.

ok, another thing - on my old rom that had sense the browser cache was never more than 2mb but on thisone (gingervillain 1.0) the browser cache is going really high like 6.83mb.. why is that? also i notice my wi-fi signal strength is weaker than before??

ok evertthing is on the internal memory and i moved the dalvik cache again and now the free space is 112mb :D out of 148... so thats 36mb used.. and i have 71 apps... sound right to you? :)

Yep it does ;)

The browsers are different so they possibly collect cached pages differently.

You have lots of space now so you dont need to be concerned about caches much.

I never check caches anymore.

oh ok - what about my wifi... i used to get full bars in my house everywhere and now i only get 1 and 2 and i was getting 2 right close to my router about as meter away :/

Try either the 1.2 kernels in gingervillain setup (download and install) as these increase power to wifi for better signal, or try the eviollet kernel in my sig.

oh ok will do :) what is a kernel anyway? and can i restore the old one if i dont want the new one? if so how?

all the kernels are in the villain set up. You can either just flash a different one or nandroid restore of system to get back how it was.

From the FAQ:

What is a Kernel?

It's the heart of the operating system (hence the name, like the kernel of a nut, the most important part of anything). It provides the environment for the phone's software to work, including access to the hardware. [Teppic74]

ok then.. what kernel will it have right now (cos i havent put a different 1 on yet)?

also.. its saying error downloading :S what do i do about tgat?

the 1.2, no better wifi signal?

You could try an eviollwet kernel.

Does it actually result in lower speeds though?
