Root Why does Oxygen ROM only leave me with 95mb internal memory? And How do flash Custom Partition Table

I like it a lot, yes. Its my favourite phone to date. And even now, I'm not growing tired of it. When I had my blackberry bold, this far into the contract I was bored.

No custom roms there. My desire is exactly how I like it. I would be bored if I ran out of things to flash perhaps though.

exactly the same with me.. I had a sony ericsson phone and i very quickly got bored of it and found it wasnt very customizable. But my desire i cant see myself ever getting bored of it as there is always something to change and make the way you want. and thats where Android beats iPhone, blackberry and all the rest by a country mile. we have the ability to flash ROMs :D

One question.. My Power button on the top of the phone and the Volume Rocker on the side seem a little loose... are yours a little loose too? (Or rock solid?)

You know GingerVillain 1.3 is out... after flashing that will I have to use another kernel or can I still use the same kernel I'm using now (the same one as you got.. the one I got on GingerVillain 1.1)?

Flashing a rom overwrites the entire /system partition which is where any flashable kernels or themes go. Anything you installed via villain set up (except possibly boot animation) will need reflashing, plus any kernels and themes etc

oh right ok but that Eviollet kernel i flashed when i had 1.1.... that will work on new 1.3 won't it?

oh right then, is using that 1 i had before better then oneof those new " 1.4 " kernels on Villain Setup? what are they all about?

ok cool :P so is ur kernel not a GV kernel? and how come u r using gingervillain 1.2 not 1.3?

No its an eviollet kernel. You know this.

Dont see the need to go to 1.3. 1.2 works. 1.3 offers only a chance to go back to the 1.1 RIL, but the 1.2 RIL works fine.

haha I dont know what are you on now? If you're on 1.1, go to 1.3. If youre on 1.2, maybe stay? do what you like ;)

oh right ;) im on 1.1 now :P so whats the difference between Eviollet and GV kernels.. just who makes them?

hmm, i know you said its hard to say whats the best as it is what is best for an individual however what is the difference between those 3 and what are their charecteristics? :)

Hard to explain as they are all very similar. You'd be best off reading the threads / trying them.

Personally I found Vork was fast but a bit of a battery drain (havent used it since 2.2 though).

GV is ok, but doesnt have AXI which when idle drops the MHz of CPU @ 128Mhz, to 62Mhz (battery saving).

Vork now has AXI, but havent tried it.
