Why I am switching to an iPhone:

Screw you guys...

Being as though Verizon Wireless WILL be getting the iphone sometime this summer, I think I will have it in my possession before the end of 2010. There are a lot of things about the Droid that I like but there are bunch of things that tick me off about it too! LOL! My desktop and laptop are both Macs and an iPhone will sync better with them than the Droid does. I am going to wait and see what Verizon does though...They might want to change some stuff to make it different than the At&t version iphones out now...that could be good or bad depending on what they decide to change.

Winner by default and for libeling UBRocked.

Thank you for the GV invite LoBatt!...you are the hero of the day! I feel like I can't go back to the StarTac now...GV is not supported in the older Motorola phones :D...I guess I'll stick it out with my Droid :p

Apple can probably make something similar to the home screen with widgets that you all love about android come the next iPhone. But I think it will take some time and marketing, and effort for the Android Market to become as popular, and filled with apps and games like the App Store. I'm not a iPhone fanboy, nor am I an android hater. I'll wait till the future to decide if I will make the switch, as of now I love, and am enjoying my droid. :)

I can't deal with it anymore.

Every day, I look at this and other internet sites, and I keep seeing new phones I want. The Droid is cool, the Eris is sleek, this was controllable.....then it got crazy!

Then I wanted the Nexus 1, but it was quickly surpassed by the HTC Incredible, The Evo coming to Sprint looks amazing, The Sony/Erickson X10 looks beautiful, I want one.

It is all too much, there are too many new phones, each better than the one before it. Wifi tethering? wow!....

Everywhere I look, I see Android doing things never before thought possible on phones, and it is all just too fast.

If I switch to an iPhone, I'll only have to worry about a new phone every couple years, and they will all be the same, and I won't have to deal with all these new features and choices.

Who's with me?

:)

soooooooo you can give up a more capable, hackable phone.... for a stagnant-not-so-innovative-any-more phone.... and still watch android phones doing crazy stuff? all while not being able to have any of it?

great plan. all you end up with is still watching new phones come out. might as well stick with the better platform that is upgradeable.

Amazing how many people read the first post and respond without reading the other posts.

It is clearly a joke and while this forum serves no real purpose...it has been entertaining with all the 2.1 hoopla going on

Technically u should have waited at least 16 more minutes before posting this >.<
(at least based on my time zone :P)

It never ceases to amaze me that someone could use an Android phone, especially a GOOD Android phone like the Droid or Nexus One, and STILL even entertain thoughts of getting an iPhone. Where they do that at?!?

its funny you say that you will only have to deal with apple coming out with a phone every few years. wrong they come out with a new iphone every year. problem also is that android may be spitting phones out left and right. but we ( people with android os) wont have to really worry about android making other things up front such as computers and OS for computers. ( not that they are doing those things but phones is main priority.)

android does phones. and very well at that so why switch when youve got a good thing going?

apple Iphones are for 75 yeard old grandmothers.
Droid is for everyone else....

have fun talking to your grandmother because shes the only one with it!

Rofl! Look at all the rage responses. :p

I myself am going to dig out my trusty Nokia 3210 and I think I'll leave my Nexus One to rot in some drawer in the house.

Snake alone is worth giving the N1 up. ;)
