Why is usa last?

I like the delay (sorry you folks in the U.S) but I wanna see the face-off between Samsung Galaxy S II and Apple's iPhone 5 this summer or post-summer. >:D It'll be interesting

SGS II will kill it

Hopefully. Although there are rumours of it having a bigger screen (which is one of the big downsides that will be eradicated on the iPhone 5). If that's 'retina' well that would be something really, really amazing. TBH, i'm not that fussed because no matter how good the iPhone 5 might be...it has iOS on it which to me, is plain boring after 5 minutes of usage.

I expect Iphone 5 to be carrying the thunderbolt (aka lightpeak) cable port. It's 2x the speed of the unreleased USB 3.0, Intel has their foot in both technologies and I suspect it is trying to stall usb 3.0 while throwing full support behind thunderbolt to make it 'the norm' of future cable data transfers in that field, on both desktop and mobile ends.

surprised apple haven't tried to patent it (in some way) or haven't filed a lawsuit yet... :p

Although Intel are waiting on USB 3.0, its thought that they are doing so only so that it will become a standard at the same time as PCIe 3 and SATA 3. Linux kernel has supported USB 3.0 since 2009 and there are still other manufacturers providing USB 3.0 products.

I have usb 3.0 and sata 3 on my laptop which has an intel mobo in it so I'm not quite sure what you are referring to when you talk about intel waiting?

They can add all the want to. Ill root mine day 1 and delete all that crap they add so i dont care what they do to it. Apple dont need to worry about Android. They will lose some customers with these phones coming out but the are doing just fine. All Apple has to do is go to every carrier and they will get more people buying their phones. It was their screw up to be exclusive to AT&T.
As for me, i wont be going back to an iPhone. Im very happy with Android.

There's my problem... I'm eligible for an upgrade, and want a smartphone (1st one). It's between the iphone or a dual core android... I'd prefer an android, and a dual core phone at that, and I don't want an iphone... but I hate lagging, and I intend to do a ton on my phone (games, music, movies, EVERYTHING). So far, the iphone is the best non-lagger I've seen, minus the SGS2, and even it still lags.

That's why I wish SGS2 would come to Verizon. Verizon bums me out.

It's worth it. Just look at the SGS2 and lag? - unheard of from the GSII. 1GB of ram!!!!

unfortunately, canada gets the short end of the stick too. for pretty much all phones too :P

but look on the bright side, it gives time for some bug tweaking and possibly some ROMs. oh, and release of usb/hdmi adapter too!
