Help Wi Fi and 3G dropping out during sleep

My Wi-Fi and 3G are dropping out sometimes during sleep. This can be frustrating when some aps need access to it.

I have WiFi set to be always on during sleep. I read some Evo 3d people having this problem and they reported turning off a power saver setting helped that.

Optimizing battery life

HTC references it there but it doesnt seem to be available on the Evo V unless im missing something.


Is anyone else having this issue?

Yes, I'm having that issue too. It tends to happen late at night. I have wondered if it was connected to some kind of power saving.

Yeah, it looks like we don't have that option to turn the power saving off.
 
I'm having the same issue with my wifi connection turning off when the phone is sleeping. This is frustrating because they have a 2.5 gig limit before they throttle you and I should be penalized like that when I have fully functioning wifi at home and don't need to be on the 3G/4G network. They need to fix this issue.

I've noticed that I have email coming in at all hours of the day and night regardless of whether the phone is active or sleeping. Just out of curiosity, how would one know that it's dropping the connection when sleeping?

Isn't it kind of like trying to figure out if the light in the fridge goes off when you close the door?
 
I think that the OP answered his own question lol. It's a sleep function. Your phone gets email when it's asleep because you probably have auto sync on. So every two hours your phone wakes up and asks gmail and weather.com what's up and then goes back to sleep. (pardon the non technical analogy)
 
dear team,

i want to "turn ON data when the screen is off"

thought hidden setting app will help me

but it is not supported in my ICS tablet
