Wi-Fi savings

A simple question. I am asking the opinion or if it is a fact that the never sleep Wi-Fi policy saves more battery and is best than, sleep after 15 min. Thank you all in advance. My current setting is now after 15 min. I use to do never sleep or most the time I would just deactivate the on/off widget.

WiFi is better on battery than 3G. I set my WiFi sleep policy to never for this reason
Understood and I completely agree. Using Wi-Fi i can squeeze out 15-19hrs. While using 3g just a measly 8-10hrs. All with pretty good usage. My thing is @ work and around and about there is not always Wi-Fi available. I use it @ home always. When I'm out and about would it be better to use the never, after 15 min, or just switch the widget off? I always turn the data widget on when needed only. Whenever there is no Wi-Fi signal. Thanks WD.

I used to manually toggle it, but now I always keep mobile data on in the background, so when I'm out of WiFi range it switches automatically. I haven't noticed any negative results on the battery so far.

I tried Y5 and while it did work properly, I didn't notice any battery improvements versus just keeping WiFi/Mobile Data on all the time and letting it switch automatically

I've had trouble getting some apps to work over wi-fi (only tried at home so far). It seems as if toggling wi-fi on and connecting turns off 3G/4G data. I haven't tried it since the latest OTA fix was pushed.

I agree, not sure how much battery savings it's giving me. But the app does work as advertised.
