Help Wifi & bluetooth

I bought this phone a few days back and i can't seem to get the wifi or the bluetooth to turn on, am i missing something?

Also, i downloaded the Idroid ADW theme so i could have those little dudes as my icons and it doesn't seem to have worked. Is it supposed to automatically change or is there something i have to do?

Apologies for seeming like an idiot, still a newb at all this!

Wifi and Bluetooth can both be enabled through the Settings so if you are doing that, you aren't missing anything. Are you saying you can't enable them -at all- (When you turn on Wifi from Settings, does the checkmark appear in the box at all?) or just that you aren't able to connect.

You might wanna try a factory reset or use the PC Companion's repair options if you aren't able to enable them at all.

An ADW Theme requires the ADW Launcher (the Launcher will replace your normal home screen with the ADW home-screen system. The theme then skins the home-screen). Right now the X10 is running 1.6 so search the market for" adw.launcher donut" (donut is the code-name for 1.6 android) and you should come up with it.

Edit: You can also download a program called Home Switcher that will allow you to easily switch between your new Launcher and your default launcher. In addition to ADW, there are other launchers out there as well that give you customization options.. my husband uses LiveHome and loves it because it allows you to transition between screens in different ways (like Book [page-turns] or Cube, etc)
 
I already have the ADW donut version on my phone..just can't seem to figure out how to get the icons or use the theme itself.

I go to my settings and i can't get the tick to come up..just says unable to start wifi and the same for bluetooth.

Have you tried a repair using SEUS or PC Companion to see if that resolves it?

As long as you can follow instructions, just run one or the other, but make sure to back up your phone first. Anything on the SD card will remain untouched so you don't need to worry about that.

For your contacts either sync with gmail or the SE backup app, or both like I've done along with Titanium Backup, but you do need to be rooted to use TB. Any apps downloaded to your account should show in the downloads section of The Market when you get back up and running.
 
I only got this phone a few days ago, they need to sort it out! Nevermind, i'll do it all over again if it means it'll work. I'll do it tomorrow though, can't be bothered to do it all tonight. Cheers for your help, i'll let you know how it goes!
 
I updated my software (SEUS) even though it said that everything was updated. My wifi and bluetooth worked for around 5 hours and has stopped again.
