Help Wifi Connection Problem

I just got the RAZR m for my first smartphone and have a problem with the WiFi. I connect to my router and enter the password I set for it. I press connect and it does nothing. any way to fix this?

It won't connect to weak signals by default but you can override that in settings. Sometimes it helps, sometimes not.

It is a decent connection to the router, but how do I override it?
