WiFi Connection Solution

Make sure you have the latest firmware for your router/dsl modem etc.
THIS IS THE KEY:
Change from WEP to WPA2.
I have tested this and it works.
I am on Qwest using a Motorola 3247 DSL wireless router.
It worked for me. Permanently.

My router at home currently is open, no WEP or WPA and I have still had the problem being reported. So while that may be part of the problem, it would seem there is more to it than that.

i've tried the wpa2 thing and the wifi fixer app and neither of them solve the problem of my remembered and connected wifi at home becoming disabled at some random point, presumably at some confluence of sleeping and being plugged or unplugged.. it seems to happen no matter what.

I don't mean to sound stupid, but how do you do this? I have FIOS.

It appears that froyo added additional network features.
Such as wifi sleep settings.
By default the setting is wifi going to sleep when the screen goes off.
So I changed the sleep setting to never.
And that did it....
give it a try
settings/wireless and network settings/wifi settings/push the options key for advanced settings/ wifi sleep policy/ never
