Root WiFi failed on me...

Here`s my situation. I am in Spain at the moment, backpacking Europe. My phone is my only ways of communicating with home and buying tickets and checking times. That said, I drastically need my Wifi to work.

Before I left, I bought a new, bigger SD Card for the fone. While in Madrid, I noticed that it took x10 tries to hook up to my hostel`s wifi. That was each time.

Now, I am in Barcelona and it will not hook up to the wifi at all...It continues to say

Wifi: Connecting...then it reads disconnected

This cycle goes on and on, until I shut down wifi. It actually tried authenticating once, but it lasted only a second.

Thanks,
Carlo

ok that is fine. try and wipe dalvik cahe and cache and see if that helps any. if that does not help then maybe try and and wipe dalvik cache and cache and re-flash cm7. do not wipe data, uless you do not mind starting over, but it is not necessary.

Also, it could be the channels. The US wifi standard channels for 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz don't always match up 1:1 with other nations. For example, in the US we use 2.4Ghz channel 1 - 11, EU uses I think up to 13. So, I suppose if there are using 13, your device *may* not pick that up. Again, this is just a possibility, I've never left the US.

Though, I would assume that your phone would still be able to pick them up. If you happen to have the app: "Wifi Analyzer" installed, I'd take a look with that and see if you can see any ssids.

Also - good luck on your trip, sounds awesome!!

I've tried everything!!! Nothing worked. BUT changing countries did! The second i got to Italy everything worked perfectly. Don't know why but it works. Thanks for everything :)
