it will depend on the rom your nandroid backup has. that is a system app and it may not play nice with the current rom.

no my nandroid backup has no rom on it, its essentially stock with root access.

first off your phone needs a rom to run the phone, so your nandroid backup is just of the stock rom.

if you want to try it you can try using tb to freeze the hotspot app first, just in case something happens you can just unfreeze. you can always delete it later. next us tb to install the hotspot app and hopefullyit will work.

personally i would just flash another rom that already has it built in. try mikg2.5. it is very much stock and it has the hotspot hacked. also it has sense 2.1 and sense 3.0 cooked in.

I unrooted last night using the RUU and I see teh spring hotspot app is still there and able to be activated. Will I get charged $30/month for using it or it is still hacked?

its there with the phone even if you dont have the plan. and just try activating it if it works then your good but if it doesnt then you dont have it. also you wont get charged if you try using it.

Well it worked, so it appears as if I still have it :D

Good to know thank you

since you are unrooted you most likely do not have the hotspot hacked. so sprint most likely will see that you are using it. i think they had like a 30 day trial period, but i'm not sure now. but i would be careful using it, you might get charged.
