Root wifi tether app wont work

My WiFi tether app doesn't work with my Frankenrom why?

I don't have Frankenrom running now but I have had it in the past and did wifi tether with it, so I know it'll work.

Mine runs fine in Frankenrom. I would suggest looking at the thread below about placing the bin file in the proper directory. Worked for me.

I've got a writeup on pg 2 of the above thread if standard install fails. For whatever reason, simply installing the latest version of Tether works for some and not others.

By latest are you referring to Pre08 or Pre09?

Either one should work fine. I was using 07 until recently and noticed no difference. Not sure what edits are made on the version changes but they're evidently very small in nature at this point.

The file I have available for download in the linked thread is 08.
